  • Had a good day so far. according to my app I have saved £144.00 which is great. That's nearly £4000.00 per year!!! I am going on a family holiday to Ireland in May with my whole family (11 of us) we have rented a massive house on a lake. Ireland is very expensive so the savings will help there. Also as it always rains there I won't be standing outside smoking.

Wow june.elizabeth that is a massive saving how many you smoke a day ?
I have done 10 days today has been a hard day craving wise knowing i only need to go outside to the car to get one is hard. I have had a glass of wine and really am tempted to go to the car. I have done all my ironing washing and washed up (not usually this organised)
It must be almost bedtime OH at work so i must go to avoid temptation.
    Hope everyone still plodding well.

I wish i had been noticing the savings , the extra money has been going to other things, at least now each month wont be a minus figure on the bank balance.

Hey everyone hope the non smoking is going well! Have to admit I had a few drinks over the weekend and had one ciggy.... It tasted horrible! Don't even know why I bothered.

I will remember that one next time I'm tempted!

Hi hope everyone is having a good day!

I was driving home from work thinking can't wait till I get in and have a cigarette then remembered I had chucked it lol So I stuck a patch on instead. Decided it was pointless wearing one during the day at work as I never went out for a cigarette at work apart from about 4 times in the 2 months leading up to the end of last year.
I take the patch of at night before going to bed as apparently they can give you some vivid dreams.

That is a great saving June.Elizabeth I never looked at how much I spent on cigarettes before when I did smoke as I think I would be gutted then have another one to make me feel better.

Laurag89 at least it was just one and you are still in the mindset to quit.

Keep going everyone we are doing well

    Good work debs2009!

I have a completely different mind set now, I will not be just smoking one.... Ever again because i can't! And it wasn't enjoyable at all, I'm getting myself down the gym tonight no excuses.... Not that I need it, but a healthier lifestyle will keep me off of the ciggys!

Best stop eating biscuits all day at work too as my beach body isn't going happen otherwise!

Really wish i hadnt started smoking at all...... It's the worst thing ever and hardest to quit!

I know what you mean laurag89 I have smoked for 23 years with the odd break of a month or 2. I would of been rich if i had never started.
I have now completed 11 days not smoked 220 cigarettes and saved £86.46.
Debbie have you tried zero nicotine patches ? I actually think i like them better than the nicotine patches. Google them or ebay for a little read. You leave them on for 3 days.
june.elizabeth I hope you are saving your money a little treat must be in order.

  • Bank account building nicely. Have 2 holidays booked so far, Ireland in May and Naples, Sorrento, Rome, Capri and Paris in June. An Italian experience with my oldest girl friend, leaving the OH at home. Plenty of ice cream will be eaten
