Stop Smoking 2014 Diary

I want to stop and more importantly i have too.
After bills i have about £5 a day to live on so i'm juggling between smoking/food/gas/electric. The stress of all this plus the current life i have is what's keeping me smoking as a release.
Looking back on what's written that makes no sense0 -
Are there any support groups near you. Sometimes giving up with other people can helpyesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift thats why its called the present0

Sax I really do feel for you. I know what your head is saying you are stressing as you can't afford to smoke although the stress is triggering cravings.
I spoke to a friend tonight and she suggested calms I was saying how I thought I could stop patches(zero nicotine) soon although they helped me relax a little. Maybe worth a try?
Tomorrow I will of completed 35 days which really is amazing for me.sealed pot challenge 099

Icontinuetodream and bitethesilverbullet how are you both getting on?
I'm not!!I have quit quitting until the end of the month...I haven't got myself in the right place mentally yet and my sis is coming to see me at the beginning of next month for a few days....she is a 'I've never even put a cigarette in my mouth' type of girl and we spend a lot of time when she is here out with the dogs....I know that having her here will make stopping much easier so rather than persecute myself now, I am going to wait until the circumstances are more fortuitous!!

The problem is sax that it makes total sense!!:o I know exactly how you feel - I have no choice either but I feel really resentful of the fact that quitting is sort of being forced upon me due to circumstance.....I do want to quit, but much of that is because I know that I can't afford it....if I had just got to the point that I wanted to quit but didn't 'have to' due to financial pressures, this would be a reasonably simple thing to do.....but I do have to do it and therefore feel resentful..... I know that the more resentful I feel, the more I try to hang on to what I have to give up.....which really pi**es me off so I have a fag - because I can!!
I guess we all spend our time battling with their own psychology!!!
Well done everyone.....lots of very impressive will-power going on in this thread!!:DMortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913

Don't do it Shinner it may not set you back straight away but you will think I got away with that one and you WILL have another and that's your 39 day quit gone. So not worth it I know it's hard but don't want to see you fall now. Be strong xxyesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift thats why its called the present0

Scrunch up the packet and throw them straight in the dustbin, shinner. You have done the hardest part with the first few days. This far along it would be a crying shame to give in to the call of the poison. Each day you get stronger and you need it a little less. Smell the air around you, enjoy the taste of your food and wonder at the disappearance of that persistant cough that every smoker has.
Well done everyone, you can beat it.
I did - 2 years ago with Alan Carrs book even though I was on 40+ a day. You can and will too. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

41 days complete DD made me left she asked how long have you got left. I laughed and told her I wasn't allowed to smoke anymore.I did remind her she wanted me not to.
I think as I usually fail she is waiting for me to restart. Bless her.sealed pot challenge 099
