    Today I have managed to:
    * Throw away a couple of broken items
    * Empty 2 glass jars that have been put in the recycling bin
    * Added a few books in to the charity shop box
    * A bag of magazines will be given to MIL later today
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

    Managed another 5:
    121. stripe t'shirt (too short for me) - cs
    122. cleanser (when opened - had gone off - really annoying - expensive and had been saving it "for best")
    123. 2 bras - to recycle to Oxfam
    124. 2 pair pants - bin
    125. hairbrush - never seemed to work on my hair - bin
Really trying hard not to hang on to things "in case" - or worse still "for best" - why not treat everyday as "best?" and get rid of the clutter.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Thanks everyone. I'm fine, just a little whiplash and a lot of shock and tears! Slowly getting back to normal! Had such a busy weekend! Only thing we really achieved was 3 loads of washing dried in the sunshine. I also have 1 e*ay package to take to the post office today and have all of my car documents to take down to the insurers as they want them before agreeing how much money to offer us as a settlement figure for our car. So as least that is a few more things out of the house!

Hi everyone! Not an awful lot sorted this weekend but 6 packages will be going to the post office this afternoon.

Threw away an old nightlight that kills batteries so fast today and some scrap paper that DD1 had scribbled all over!

Hoping to get some time to sew and craft declutter some fabric into some pretties to sell for my business :)

Yesterday OH finally cut the grass and I tidied up in the back garden. The garden bin is not half full.

15 DVD's left the house yesterday together with approximately 50 books that will be given to MIL's friend.

A broken handbag was thrown away.

Enough is enough: decluttering our house : The Money Principle

I saw this about decluttering and thought of you all.:)

    Out of house:

Another bag of unwanted clothing is going tomorrow. I had to order some summer clothing so I hunted around for the same number of items to leave the house. One out, one in.

Also threw away/recycled some paperwork, some tin cans and will be getting rid of some weeds from the garden later too.:D

    Glad you are ok, LisaJane

I've gone through my packaging stash and loads of boxes and padded envelopes have been discarded. I'm keeping just a few, mainly boxes of a size that I think will be useful for eBaying.

Also, a few others bits and bobs have left the house, so I can report

    97 2 old flannels – bin

98 Old pot pourri – bin

99 Old hair styling gel – bin

100 Old camera instruction booklet – recycling

101 Out of date parsley sauce mix – bin

102 Old boxes and packaging - recycling

    Early retired - 18th December 2014
