I'm trying to get together some stuff to send to Zapper - I need to find something or some things worth £2.70 and then I'll have a tenner's worth ...!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
Decluttering - January 2024 - 89 physical objects, over 700 emails/digital decluttering 🎊 🏅🏅0 -
My biggest problem is packaging: used boxes, padded envelopes, card envelopes... I never throw them away and never get around to reusing them all. I discovered today that half my wardrobe is used packaging!0

2 pairs of socks today in the bin0
-
Today -two items sold on ebay, 1 shampoo bottle finished, one broken pizza cutter chucked, half a box of choccys consumed0
-
Pleased to say I managed another 5:
101. swimsuit - ebay
102. lipgloss - bin
103. toast rack - cs
104. new pants - ebay
105. hair accessories - bin
I'm definitely on a mission - hopefully tomorrow I am going to try on every item in my wardrobe and assess whether I will in reality wear it. I may take some time......I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0 -
mrs-moneypenny - Thanks
. I've seen that book clutch, dying to do it, but yep I definitely have the same problem can't hurt a good book! x
SomethingGood - snap! Packaging hoarder here too! I've moved some of it back from uni with me!! from halls, so it's been to 2 houses in between too...why WHYY! Thankfully finally getting through some for ebay sales, though I keep being thrifty and cutting the padded envelopes in half for small things...
8. Loose leaf tea.. damn mouse had been nibbling at the box.
Can I count dead mice as outs too? Well some of them are live, depends if they wander into the squishy mouse trap, humane mouse trap, or the cat... lol.

Hello :j
The de-cluttering has been on the backburner. I've sold some things on eBay on behalf of my friend, so have been concentrating on that, but I have achieved the following on my own behalf
95 2 lots of 25 LPs – eBay
96 9 jigsaws - eBay
So that's 11 eBay sales for me, so not bad actually.
Also sold a couple of lots of my postcard collection, but I'm not putting that on my de-cluttered list until the whole collection has gone (could be some time at this rate)
The new fee structure has not helped - more things will be listed as bulk lots and others will go to charity. With the loss of 99p listings and lack of free listing weekends, it's not economic to list small things like DVD's and books. It's a shame really, but on the other hand I'm finding it good to not do as much eBaying, it wasn't fun anymore.SomethingGood wrote: »My biggest problem is packaging: used boxes, padded envelopes, card envelopes... I'm the same, I like to keep packaging for eBaying. But, as I won't be eBaying so much, I'm going to de-clutter this stash next. I should be able to halve it, at the very least.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hello. I had a near death experience last Monday night when another driver ran through a red light and totalled my car. This incident has spurred me on to declutter incase I die! So far this week I have filled 2 1/2 black bin bags full of rubbish! I have also found another few items for ebay, gathered up old photographs and cards into one place, gathered up dressing up/party stuff into one place and have a pile of stuff waiting to be filed in my 'grown up person's box'. Still a LONG way to go, but have been inspired to continue!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):
My savings: £4878.54/£7000
Joint account savings: £2685.57/£3000
Total:£7564.11/£10 000 (as at 26/10/14)0 -
:O Hope you're OK Lisa Jane!
