I sent two massive bin bags of clothes and bedding to a textile recycling centre.

I cannot believe how much stuff I still have when I've been decluttering for what seems like ages now.:D

Bins and recycling tomorrow so I found some plastic lids that can be recycled.

Imagine 115k, how much you'd have had if you hadn't started! It really does accumulate so fast doesn't it? I bet you feel good though at how much you've done :)

I've just decluttered/posted a few items sold on ebay.
Not much else as I'm quite [STRIKE]lazy[/STRIKE] tired during the week after work but I'll get some done at the weekend.
Well done to everyone for ditching the clutter so far.

Loving the inspiration on this thread!

I've found myself discouraging myself from buying 'stuff' because I'm trying to cut down the clutter!

I've made large pile of things to ebay, 5 listed this week then more to go after we come back off holiday this month.

Was getting sick of the charity bags coming through the door but am now using thme to house items to go to the CS (not keen on any charity to relate my donation to my address) 1 bag full now to to on Saturday.

There's a pile of 20 books I've managed to decide to part with, only problem is they're still next to the sofa! Any ideas on the best place to sell, ebay seems a hassle due to p&p charges?

Slowly making our way through the toiletries stockpile, trying to use most up to save a bit of money, alway on the lookout for real bargains to replenish though!

Oh, does anyone have any uses for old plastic clothes pegs? I've about 20 in a bag that are slightly broken or I don't like (fussy beggar, me!). Now I'm thinking about them I just want to throw the bag out!

    Very true.:A

I'm going to do a quick sweep through the house again today to see if there is anything else that can go.

I'm also going to organise my shoes and boots with some storage shelves and see if I want to get rid of any. I have some Doctor Martin type boots that I haven't worn in years! I kept them for snowy weather but I have those Trax things for icy weather so I might put the boots in a bag for the charity shop.

have finally got rid of another 5 things (find it motivational to have to get so many):
    86. patterned jumper - cs
    87. purple pashmina - cs
    88. striped scarf - cs
    89. toilet bag - cs
    90. estee lauder vanity case - cs
Still so many belongings but fighting the urge to keep "incase".
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

By Monday morning, I commit to taking 100 books to the charity shop and having all laundry washed, ironed (where necessary) and put away.

ETA: One trip done and back knackered. I commit to DH taking the remaining 70 books!

  • Everyone is doing fabulously - well done. I think once you get into it, it becomes addictive.

We have done really well the past week, dh has redone all the front garden of the house and it is looking amazing. Love coming home and seeing it everyday :)

Also, thrown out several bags of rubbish, half cleaned out the bottom of my wardrobe, will finish tonight as there are just a load of coathangers and a small box to go through. Also did my underwear draw and have about 15 bra's to donate to Oxfam.

I try and clear out a bag of stuff everyday, although decided I am going to have a go at selling rather than cs ing everything as I have some good quality things to go.

    Happy decluttering weekend everyone x

Well done everyone!! Even the small things are helping (i have to keep reminding myself!)

Nothing out today, yet! as i have been making the most of the sunshine. I have however acquired a large bag of stuff from mum and dad. Said i can sell/use for fabric or charity it. Going to have a look through and see if anything is worth ebaying/cutting buttons off etc

Tomorrow afternoon the weather is supposed to be bad so going to stay in i think with the kidlets and husband. If they are playing nicely ill take the time to tidy up some bits and get rid of stuff! Might tackle the kitchen first!
