We are able to actually see the tip on web cam to see how busy it is before setting off. So some exciting viewing to look forward to.

You can do this where I live, too :rotfl:

I have a whole week off. My mission (if I only achieve one) is to take all unwanted books to the charity shop and thereby reclaim the bedroom.

Evening all, the mission continues, today I have taken 4 large bags full of stuff to the charity shop, so the corner of my bedroom looks a lot better for that. I have also decluttered:

    59. vase - cs
    60. tealight holder - cs
    61. old pants - bin!!
    62. old credit card bills - shredded

I've been doing so well, if I do say so myself.:A

I'm really trying to be more ruthless and get rid of carp. I have another bag to donate to CS and have chucked stuff away too.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my hairdryer as I probably have only used in a couple of times in the last year and so hopefully a CS will take it

All my toiletries and makeup etc... fit into one drawer now and I'm determined not to buy more than that so it won't be able to overflow into anywhere else.

I'm going to go through my wardrobe again today and honestly look at what I actually wear/fits me and put unwanted in bag for CS.:T

So impressed with the positive attitude here! Reporting my progress to date:

    - 6 sacks of clothes/ bags/ shoes recycled (£24.20 earned)

    - 12 garments given to my mum, 10 sold on eBay (£90+ in profit), 10 more listed.

    - 20 books, several out of dates manuals & 3 boxes recycled

    - a rug donated to local amdram

    - 15 books, 2 suitcases, a bag of necklaces etc & 12 assorted items donated to CS

    - 8 items given to friends who can use them

    - approx 20 hangers broken up & recycled

    - folding bed and heater now taken to the tip

This means that the front attic eaves are empty except for DS's stuff that he will sort out in the summer holidays. There is significant visible space in the attic room, so it is easier to work in there.

All of our clothes fit are located in the wardrobe and cupboards in the bedroom (yay!!).

Next step: deal with the rest of the unwanted clothing (EBay/recycling)
Take the attic chests & desk to the CS
Empty and sort the back eaves.

And, my shredder is very poorly after dealing with the last of my outdated documentation papers from school!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
