- Poo picked the back garden & picked up the windfall branches off the lawn
- Sorted through two charity shop bags full of hand-me-down clothes from mum's neighbours and have a nice big charity shop bag of clothes to hand on to a friend as quite a lot of it was too small for DS#1 (9).

I've been lurking for a while and your lists have inspired me. So much going on for me has left no time for decluttering and it's time to get a grip. I like the "one item a day" idea so I thought I'd start there... (drum roll)..
Have put 3 cardboard wine boxes in the recycling bin. Theyd been sat on my worktop taking up space for months because the 'foldiness' appeals to me, but ive suddenly had a LBM and realised I rarely buy wine and when I do its only one bottle.
Out by the bins in the dark at 4am it felt like a new start

Welcome
to the declutterbugs, stellata/Magnolia - it may be one small step for a woman BUT it's a giant leap into the world of decluttering :T.
I've got my 'morning shift' at the Charity Shop today and I WILL be chanting my new mantra throughout my time there - 'I DO NOT want it; I DO NOT need it; I'm NOT taking it home with me!'
I'm off for a quick rummage to see if there's anything I can take in with me ............ I'm sure there MUST be.

Can I join please?
I am frightened that I am turning into my father! He is terrible at putting things off an piling things up in the house/work/garage that he doesn't need, and also putting jobs off! I am becoming exactly the same! The problem is mainly concentrated in the spare room at home, which is currently a complete tip. It is the place where things go to make the rest of the house look tidy!
I am going to go home for lunch today and make a bit of a start on it. I know that half an hour even would make a decent hole in it, but my problem is getting the motivation to start!
Will be back on to update on my progress!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):
My savings: £4878.54/£7000
Joint account savings: £2685.57/£3000
Total:£7564.11/£10 000 (as at 26/10/14)0 -
Three bags of clothes put out for Breast Cancer yesterday, and I must have missed them, so off to charity shop today
Over 60 items gone on ebay this month, but I did to an auction and bought more, but I am sorting and binning / charity shopping as I go along as I tend to take stuff out, sell and put the rest to one side for sorting later.
Heard something related to post. OHIO - Only Handle It Once, so now sort post as soon as I get it.
It's a long slog, but I am definitely starting to look at things in different wayYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
