Another four boxes taken to the charity shop. Found out they are open all weekend, so lots more going this weekend.

Sorting some boxes and listing on Ebay.

    15) empty box of Christmas chocs (once upon a time I kept boxes just in case)
    16) cleared out the top shelf of one of my kitchen cupboards. I found coffee syrup, decaf coffee, marinade and an empty tub of vitamins. All extremely out of date! so they went into the bin.

Having a bad day today, I'm job hunting (my job finished at Christmas) and now OH's job has finished up as well.

I have sorted out my under stairs cupboard abdul managed to fit my Hoover in there now. Been to the tip twice this week with chipped crockery and recycled old shoes. Great start to new year am going to keep on clearing now. Booked a kids car boot so just need to go through my DS stuff with him to see what he wants to sell.

More boxes sorted. Empty cardboard boxes burned, rubbish in a bin bag for the tip, more items listed on eBay

Off to my lock up tomorrow to do some sorting there.

  • I gave away two huge bags of girls clothes today plus a pair of slippers. I can finally just about finish the spare room for my mum coming to stay. There's still more to do but never enough time due to work.
  • Oh dear, I've been AWOL for a couple of weeks, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. I have decluttered stuff, written it down on a list, but not put it on here yet. I will try to do better in future and get it listed daily. Seem to have had more coming in than going out last week, so I need to get a grip and get decluttering again.

  • Went through kids wardrobes and have 2 bin bags full of clothes for CS... Found a bag of gifts Santa had forgot so we spent the morning decluttering 3 chocolate santas ... Nice surprise as groceries coming later and we haven't a biscuit or sweet thing in the house:) a friend gave me several items if clothing for dd2 so have stashed them away in the process... Have challenged myself to a no spend week so will spend time decluttering at home and have friends for coffee instead. My only trip to the shops will be charity s drop off this week! Rain still on so will finish my cuppa and see what is at the back of my wardrobe!!! Hopefully more chocolate:)

We have so many things in our house that do not appear to have a home. This year I am determined to sort this out. A lot of it is crafting things, which tells me "DO NOT BUY ANYMORE. USE WHAT YOU HAVE!" and toiletries plus paperwork and junk.

My aim for this year is to sort through things for half an hour a day and either put it away properly, not just stuffed in a space, or throw/recycle it.

I hope to be able to throw/recycle one item and day and put one item away properly. I don't want to have a bigger target otherwise it will put me off starting anything

    Wish we luck:T
  • Good Luck!

I started something similar myself today, dontated my first bag of stuff to a charity shop! Included unwanted Xmas presents that couldnt really be re-gifted and various clutter including old books and board games - the space is slowly clearing :D
