:T Well done to all for your decluttering efforts.

This weekend I have managed to:
    * Use up a body lotion and a tooth paste
    * I have cleaned on top of the microwave and thrown away a couple of things that was stored there
    * 2 x large card boards are now in the recycling bin
    * 2 candles have been used up
    * Bathroom cleaned
    * 2 unused trays are now in a bag ready to be taken to the charity shop.
    * 1 read magazine given to MIL.

Feeling quite pleased with my progress this weekend.

Major achievement. Car that has been on the drive for ages waiting for oh to decide what to do with it has gone (well, is going tomorrow) !!!

I have a few boxes of stuff from my two units I gave up so will take to the charity shop along with a couple of bags of decluttered clothes from my wardrobes

I am more motivated than I have been for ages. Thanks everyone, you are keeping me going :T

Everyone seems to be going great guns!
Today, with a bit of assistance from DD2 who loves to help, I cleared, cleaned and tidied my bedroom window sill. We don't have room for a dressing table etc so I have to make do with using the windowsill for make-up and toiletries etc. The stuff that's in daily-ish use I keep on there and then other bits/multiples I keep on a shelf in the wardrobe. So as well as putting 4 bits put into the wardrobe and getting rid of the dust I have:

Recycled 2 boxes from new nail polish and foundation - why did I still have them, they were empty and not likely to be used??
Binned 5 x old and past their best bits of make-up/toiletries
Found an unwanted necklace to put in CS bag
Binned an old, cheap, broken and tarnished watch

    Other bits from bedroom:
2 x old shoe boxes recycled
Another small box and bits of paper recycled
    2013 calendar recycled
Pair of OH's worn and holey socks binned

All little things, but bedroom looks nicer now and we've got some bits out of the house :)
    Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
Original MF date Feb 2025. Currently Feb 2030:eek: Aiming for Jan 2025 :T
    Mortgage at [STRIKE]10/19 - £47,200[/STRIKE] 11/19 - £46,615
    :heart:My girls keep me going:heart:
  • morning all

    everyone is doing brilliantly

43teabags, at our local tip theres a specific bin for recycling old vhs tapes in so you could ring your council and see if they recycle them

re recrclying christmas cards sains and m&s have bins instore or they can go in normal paper recycling at kerbside or you could ring local school/ageconcern centre and see if they can use them for anything. im taking mine to school as one of the staff crafts and wants loads for making something with the kids for next year.

    decluttered loads over the weekend
small wooden wardrobe taken to DD2
2 large carrier bags of drinks cans recycled for points at tesco
1 carrier full of tatty carriers recycled at tesco
9 bottles of drink rehomed to DD2 along with 2 bottle carriers and a bag for life.
old eyeshadow im never going to wear binned (lilac and pink are not a good look on the over 50s i dont think)
3 toiletries used up and containers in recycling.
    3 items regifted
3 cards used and sent from card stash.
2 balls of wool used up knitting a scarf
    pair laddered tights binned
cardboard box given to neighbour along with small box of cornflakes (she found an injured pigeon and needed something to take it vets in.)
2 chipped cereal bowls - binned

  • Morning all.

Well I have a day off in the house by myself and have drawn up a huge to do list. Just need to get off the computer and get on with it!

Since my last post a week ago I have

Sorted out the boiler cupboard and binned 1/2 bag of rubbish
Sorted out the spare room resulting in 2 trips to the tip and 4 bags waiting to go to the charity shop.
Sorted bathroom cupboard, binning all out of date or unusable items and making more room to find things we actually need/use.

    Todays decluttering jobs are

Sort the top shelf of wardrobe out. Full of hats, scarves etc and work uniforms which are too big for me!
Sort out the cupboard in my bedroom with all the paperwork and other important stuff in. This may take a while as I haven't filed anything for at least 12 months!!

Wish me luck. See you all later x
