Did some more decluttering today. Two bags of clothes and other items to go to charity shop.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

After getting ready for the day, I managed to declutter:
21) Finished up Philosophy perfume. Woop! Finally get to start my Prada Candy I so gratefully received for Christmas!
22) Used up old body polish - Success! This has been hanging around for months!!!
23) Used up a rose body oil - didn't really like it but was determined not to bin it!
24) Benefit make up palette - given last year for Xmas, too dark for my complexion really although I did play around with the eyeshadows. Anyway, that hasn't been touched for months so in the bin it is!!
25 & 26) 2 pairs of tatty cheap shoes that haven't seen daylight for years!
It's a start! Have a great Saturday x2015 - I am determined to lose at least 3 stone in weight and I must pay off at least one of my credit cards...If I keep telling myself, I might start believing it!!!Save £2 a day for Xmas 2015 Challenge: £56/£730:dance: HAPPY NEW YEAR - HERE'S TO A GREAT 2015 FOR US ALL! :dance:0 -
Today I had some real success whilst decluttering - found £65 of JL vouchers and £200 M&S! I knew they were somewhere, was getting a bit worried they may expire so am happy they are usable.
Not sure I'll spend them on myself but can always be used as gifts.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Not only does decluttering make the house neater and more organised but it helps you rediscover lost things. I found 2 hairbrushes that i went missing months ago. I came across lots of pieces of jewelery i had completely forgotten about ( wearing a piece today:)). My OH found a lovely letter our DD had written him when she was about 9 listing the reasons she loved him, must have been a fathers day thing. Plus now my make up all fits in one small bag, I should hopefully make a few pounds of the ebay bits, all my dresser draws are only half full and my wardrobe shelf is empty! Knowing what you have also makes it easier to buy what you need rather than buying just for the sake of it, so now OH knows he needs some more work trousers and a couple of jumpers. Ds1 put the amount of points/money we earned from the computer games we got rid off together with his saved money and was able to afford an ipod 5 (preowned) and OH even managed to bring the price down by another 10% by talking to the manager :j
happy decluttering everyone:DSuccess means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

I'm a terrible hoarder (comes from years of being without, I guess) but have had ENOUGH. Am just tackling one small room at the moment - one area at a time (otherwise I just get too overwhelmed and give up). Today I just did ONE drawer (didn't realise I had so many socks with holes in them)
QUICK QUESTION - where do I take all my Christmas cards to be recycled? Anyone know who's doing it this year?
Cheers.0 -

M&S and Sainsburys are here.
I reckon I must have taken ten big bags to the charity shop since Christmas, twenty items sold on Facebay, three on eBay, a bag of coats to the Salvation Army and a big box of toiletries to the local Women's Refuge. Still masses left to do though, but feeling very positive so far.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
