I've started decluttering *again* today. I didn't actually keep track properly of what I got rid of, but these are the things I can remember:
1) Griddle - no longer used
2) Deep fat fryer, didn't work properly and I'm on a diet anyway
3) Frying pan with a wobbly handle
4) Some post that we don't need to keep
5) DS1s pumps that had the sole half worn away0 -
Here's this morning's efforts.
6) Some sheets that don't fit any beds we own
7) A hair product that I don't use
8 and 9) 2 pairs of earphones that have lost the cushiony bits
10) The nozzle for my hairdryer as I never use it.0 -
Yesterday I did runs to three different CS. One that takes electrical, where the man upset me as I gave him two things and he said 'Is that it?' they are an expensive CS and don't do gift aid so I only give them electrical items.
So out this weekend:
Electric blanket (doesn't fit new bed)
electronic toy in box
Bag of clothes (I think about 6 tops and a pair of jeans)
wig (worn once for party)
Bag of carrier bags and packing materials
big table mat
some other items I forgot about already!Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Popping back on to give myself a virtual kick up the behind
I haven't posted for a while - I have done some more decluttering, but I am not posting what on here until the bag leaves the boot of my car for the CS! Maybe next week ...
Not sure really why I have ground to a halt - divorcing is quite stressful, although it doesn't really take up time, as suchI have started clearing out my kitchen cupboards, taking everything out and sorting through it, and cleaning the insides before putting everything back. I have to wait for a good talk radio phone in to do it, because it is very dull!
Everyone is doing brilliantly - I hope to be back with more to report soon!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

How rude of him! They wouldn't be getting any of my items in future it it were me!
Today we did what is probably going to be last big tidy up of the garden this year, lawn mowed, a couple of attempts at growing veg dug out as they were rubbish/took over, some weeds pulled and snails pelleted.
Other items out:
-Belt that was falling apart - bin
-2 cheap LED lights for under cabinets (barely any light from them) - bin
-Bottle of Belvoir drink I got from b&m over a year ago for 10p, had one drink and no-one liked it so it has been sat lurking in a cupboard since - drained and bin!
-1ebay item sold but waiting for buyer to pay (), another ending tonight after being listed 4 times without a sniff, it has now had a flurry of interest and will go for at least 3x starting price
-A friend is looking for a v.cheap vacuum cleaner, so I am happy to donate our less than impressive old one that has been housed under the stairs forever :j0 -
PenguinOfDeath, I was also out in the garden yesterday tidying up and managed to fill up 50% of the garden bin.
* An eye cream has been used up
* A pair of broken sunglasses has gone in the bin
Decluttering is going slowly at the moment, having moved a month ago we spend time unpacking and moving the same items several times to find the best place to store them.No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
