  • Morning - I need to join please and as it is the first of September - what better time?

I have been " not working " for almost a year and although I was tidy at the beginning and clearing well - now that I am busy with voluntary jobs the clutter is creeping up!

This morning I have re-sorted my wardrobe and removed a few items for cs or car boot - they are now in my car boot dump room out of the way.

Next job is to sort the laundry room as that is a tip!!!

Don't propose to post the numbers of items I have binned etc but may post - perhaps daily- to keep myself motivated.

You are an inspiration!!! THANK YOU!

I've been lurking here for years lol and just wanted to say thank you to you all. I have cleared 100 things out of my house during August, thanks to you all inspiring me with your sterling efforts. I've just started my list of things cleared out in September and am aiming for another 100. Wish me luck! :-)

  • Excellent name otterspasm!

    Out in the last week-
1 pair of laddered tights - bin
1 finished can of dry shampoo - bin
1 finished bottle of shave balm - bin
1 body butter and 1 body scrub, been sat on the bathroom shelf for years and survived a house move, gawd knows why as I didn't like the smell and they made my skin too greasy - bin :j
1 bag and 1 top - sold on ebay

Also general decluttering of the conservatory room before deciding what colour to re-paint it!
  • Haha..PenguinOfDeath is pretty funny too! Thanks to you and AlwaysHappy for your encouragement. I'm on a bit of a mission really at the mo as I've realised that the reason my house is never clean or tidy is because its so much effort to move all the STUFF before I can even hoover/dust etc. Its really getting me down so I'm going to try and live with less stuff. Not easy for me! It should make me feel happier overall though and that's what I'm aiming for. x

Sneaks in looking nonchalant, having been missing for most of the summer ...

Two garments sold on e-bay, and another three listed. I am not sure how many I still have to list, but it will take a while.

I am back up to three bags of clothing to take to the recycling place - this diet is working well for us, and we have seen great improvement in general health so I am getting rid of the clothes that are too big..... unfortunately that means every last one of DH's suits :doh:and most of my summer clothes: I flapped in the breeze on holiday :D.

    Another 10 hangers recycled.

Three toiletry items used up, I have almost defeated my body-butter-mountain :T

    6 bras for Oxfam's appeal.

Assorted tat binned - unsaleable at the CS and no idea why I was keeping it :o

Old jam pan (pitted), rusty bread bin, broken towel rack and a dented container off to the metal skip at the Recycling centre.

Need to buckle down to it now that the Autumn is on its way.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

I keep looking at wardrobes of clothes ie the 333 project or 10 items per season, they look sooooo good. I daren't even count my number of clothes - I know for a fact I have more than 40 things on my spare rail......
