    day 4....

    not much planned for today.

    will be rehoming the wool
have put 3 bags of clothes and one bag of shoes out for the charity collection.
3 pairs of shoes in the garage, ready for their new home at the tip. actually make that four pairs.

plenty still to be doing and to be sorted.

i think the only stumbling block is going to be my confidential waste. really not sure what to do with. Don't fancy the time (and the expense of buying a shredder).

Have switched to paperfree banking to avoid similar issues in the future.
  • sorted my knitting needles and have 61 pairs ready to donate to the CS at the weekend. its embarrassing that i have built up such a huge amount ive still kept plenty for myself
    SPC~12 ot 124

  • Flat Eric do you have a friend you can borrow a shredder from?

I finally made it to the CS - took the two bags that were in my car so the following have gone :-

    229. Shirt
    230. T-shirt
    231. Shorts
    232. Trousers
    233-235. Three mugs
    236. Yoga trousers
    237. Cardigan
    238. Top
    239-241. Son's t-shirts
    242. Men's shirt for ragman (collar was worn thin).

Got home from the CS and started a new bag for donations :D I'd love to make it to 365 items by the end the year!
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

If anyone is interested the show I mentioned before is called Hoarders: Buried Alive on the Home and Heath channel and it was very motivating after watching it to declutter some more.:rotfl::eek:

I went to my kitchen and cleaned all the kitchen shelves and threw away some old condiments and cleaned all the surfaces after watching a couple of episodes last night.:D

    Also gone:

    - lots of clothes/cushions covers to recycling
    - pair of sunglasses and some jewellery to CS.

Old garden gloves binned as too manky to use.

Another too-large garment into the recycling.

Made two fabric remnants into useful items - cushion covers and new peg bag.

    Binned old, damaged peg bag.

And that shiny thing on the horizon is my halo - I mended holes in two of DH's socks!

Cutlery drainer now redundant, so recycled.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Can you set fire to it in your garden? :D

Have been sorting more stuff since I returned from being out. not much to report really. Debating what to do with my harry potter audio tapes. never listen to them but reluctant to rehome. Will be rehoming my video tapes though. I know charity shops don't accept them so is this something for the tip?

I think I will burn my confidential waste :T
