Right, had a BBJ (bodies by Jason) session this morning - was bloody hard to get up and get there and felt physically sick but did it and now feel motivated again and likely to stick to cutting out the crap!!!!

Have my therapy session this morning then another long day of working out what files I have and what the heck is going on in my new department as well as trying to get on with all my existing work

Nothing like a challenge though and I find that I somehow have this inner strength and reserve - when I started at my new firm 3 years ago I'd have absolutely shat myself if I'd been asked to head up a department and particularly one where I've never done that sort of law before but because they pushed me and pushed me further and further when I started to go against people who were 30 years more experienced than me and the best in the business and I've coped I know I can do it

Oh and yesterday I also got an email inviting me to join a prestigious society and they only (according to them and according to the big bosses) only extend such invitation to "those with a solid reputation for such work in their jurisdiction"!!!! If there was a fee to join I might not believe it but as it's free it seems to ring true

    This is a great week!!!

  • Omg! Just keeps getting better (waiting for it all to come crashing down!!). Running was pretty non-existent last week due to the rain and gale force winds but had another BBJ session fri morning

Went on a date fri night which was a lot of fun. Really sweet guy and he's asked me to dinner Friday (valentines day - eek!) he's definitely not my usual alpha male type and it's a bit complicated (will share sometime) but he seems kind and maybe I need a kind man for once

Was a tad hungover sat so not an awful lot achieved but did loads of chores yesterday, baked then was lying in bath listening to elton john thinking how much I wanted to run so got out of bath, got kit on and went for a run and was amazing! Had loads of energy and had loaded up loads of new tunes to my ipod and it was like I was floating

Had an early night then BBJ this morning and ready for the week ahead

I am sure throughout my life there will still be awful periods but the great periods like this remind me and should remind everyone (as my mum says) things change and nothing stays the same

Happy Monday everyone and I hope for anyone thinking like I was last year (that life was awful) this is motivational and gives hope xx

  • Yeah but hate this whole waiting game/do I/don't I text. He's been texting today but innocuous stuff so then I'm like "is he interested"?! But he texted the same sort of stuff before we met up. Sooooo difficult!!! But then I guess he wouldn't ask me out on valentines day if he didn't like me. I get to run tomorrow night - woo hoo!!
