2014: a selfish year

So yesterday wasn't great on the spending front. Had lunch out with an old colleague so that was £15. On the upside, he gave me his skeleton argument in the case we were talking about which is going to be v helpful!!! Also I had a very healthy (and yummy) fig and halluomi salad and avoided eating the cake someone had brought in for their birthday (it wasn't tempting enough to be fat for!)
Then went to supermarket and spent 9.60 on milk (x2), bread and 20 duet cokes (cos on offer)
Long day at work today and really get motivated as was rubbish yesterday then a run tonight - free and should feel great!I want to be a writer0 -
Went for my run even though it was cold when I stepped outside the office door. I'm glad I did - needed to as got 2 b0ll0ck brained letters from the other side which wound me up! Feel ok about them now though, just ran it out!!!!
I'm going to email a few people over the next few days to get their opinions on stuff because I am feeling tired all the time and wonder if it's because I'm not eating enough or not eating the right things given I'm exercising lots. 2 guys from school are both personal trainers at big names gyms and my cousin is a pro footballer as is my best mate from homes hubby and another friends husband runs marathons (in 2 hours 41!) so going to see if they can give me any suggestions as the running moves up a notch next week to 5 minute blocks - eek!!!
So much for my cancelling my social plans - friends now want to watch the rugby on Saturday and get some dinner after but going to try to cope with it by drinking very little as I have loads I want to do round the house on Sunday so don't want it to be a write off!!!I want to be a writer0 -
Worked out with BBJ (bodies by Jason) thus morning. Was a struggle to get out of bed as didn't sleep particularly well last night but glad I went. The only frustrating thing is thrive not been particularly hard sessions this week as he's not wanted to push me too much whilst I'm still suffering slightly from a cold. He said next week will be full on though and guess the important thing was getting back into a routine and back into it
Supposed to have someone's leaving drinks tonight but think I'll give it a miss and have a night in - save money and no booze!
Happy Friday everyone!I want to be a writer0 -
Happy Friday Lulabelle, and well done for sticking at the diary for a whole month, and enduring early morning January weather, with your eyes set on a future prize .... A perfectly toned body. Keep up the great work.
What are your plans for February?"I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250
Project Peacock - 2/33 - 1lb/7lb target.
£6.00 a day challenge £118.77/£170
Mtge debt includes car purchase - £46,381/ now £44,336 - Paid 4.4%
Emergency Savings 550.00/£10000 -
Thanks RBR! I think feb will be to continue with the runners world programme and stick to my 3 runs per week.
I'm slacking on ensuring I am perfectly preened and having a tidy home so need to focus on that also
I was good tonight - went to the leaving do but had soda with fresh line then water! Went to Chinese on way home but got chilli chicken schezuan style and steamed veg (I specifically asked for steamed rather than stir fried) but I did have 2 biscuits this afternoon
Now sat on sofa with diet coke (even though lads of wine in house) and having early night. Hoping to run tomorrow morning but weather is supposed to be awful so may do it sun insteadI want to be a writer0 -
Morning everyone - yay it's the weekend!!!
Went to bed at 845 last night - my life is so rock n roll!
Was a struggle to force self out this morning but was on the seafront by 810. Glad I went then as the heavens have just opened!
On my last repeat of run 3 mins walk 1 min x 6 so decided to live dangerously and add a seventh and not only that I kicked right off on the last repeat by forcing myself back to my childhood remembering when my dad used to come and watch me run cross country and him shouting "come on lass, push it, pick em off 1 by 1". Really works to push me on when I think I have nothing left in the tank
Just had a protein shake to re-fuel now will shower, take cat to vets, grocery shopping, chores then a guilt free afternoon in pub and supper out knowing I've exercised today making it 6 times this week!I want to be a writer0 -
Oh dear. Yesterday didn't go quite how I planned. Ended up getting rather hammered and went for a curry! Now feel like crap which is annoying as wanted to get lots of chores done today but now have banging headache!!
However today is rest day from exercise
Yesterday I went to b&q to return some solar lights I'd bought ages ago and when I opened them the poles weren't in there. The girl tried to fob me off with a credit note as hadn't taken them back within 45 days but I stuck to my guns and quoted the sale of goods act and said they weren't fit for purpose so I was entitled to a refund and got it!
Honestly, for so,done who's a lawyer I hate quoting law!!!I want to be a writer0 -
