New watch let me down and didn't run this morning (not because of watch - because I'm lazy!!) but pleased to report I made myself run tonight and it felt great!

Have had another NSD and successfully avoided the biscuits offered to me at the site were working at today.

Now having a healthy supper (home made lamb koftas with bulgar wheat, pine nuts and natural yoghurt) and prob a bit of chocolate as a treat before watching Monday nights revenge and an early night at up at 540 for workout with trainer!

Another workout done this morning but it wasn't too hard. Think he was doing more strengthening type exercises today. In some ways it's annoying when it's not that hard!

So gave tough day at work today but a manicure at lunch (which I'm hoping is free as she's calculating my loyalty card) then doing a shop tonight, baking cheesecake brownies for tomorrow's afternoon tea then have supper out with friends at 830. Mates want to meet for drinks first but am trying to avoid it by shopping and baking as a) spend less and b) drink less! We're going to a new pizza/pasta place so not ideal for diet but it's not like I'm training for a movie role and still want to enjoy life. Plus given I'm now exercising 4-6 times a week when before it was none and making better food choices most of the time a little splurge every now and again is good for the soul!

Yesterday was a success. Baked brownies which look calorific! Had dinner with friends which wasn't too spendy at 35 each and we made a good call to go home at 11. Got up this morning and did a run at 8am which was hard after the amount of red wine we paved away last night and was hoping to fit in a davina fit workout but got hit by a wave when running so ended up needing the extra time to wash and dry hair!

Now have to take cat to vets again so probs another 60!!!! Then meeting friends from last night for brunch followed by chores and then baby shower

Tonight am going to have a night in with voyage of the dawn treader (Ben Barnes - swoon) but may try and fit a davina fit in before settling down for the evening

I'm finding I'm much happier generally having fitness as a focus , making more of an effort at work and organising things with friends and trying to take focus off worrying about my age and being single although my ex fianc! and his wife (the woman he left me for) plus someone I had a fling with in 2012 (and he was sat with them!) were in the same restaurant as us last night which wasn't exactly ideal!!

Yesterday was quite hectic but fun. Cat has a bad ear infection and cost me 70!!!! Not happy as that's over 130 in space of 2 weeks. He's insured but pretty sure that doesn't go over excess as 2 separate incidents. He has to go back for check up sat so might be worth claiming for ear but probs not.

Brunch with friends lasted until 130 as was lashing down with rain so we just kept ordering more coffee! Was fairly good though as had scrambled eggs on toast with Parma ham (and had of course run yesterday morning) and skinny lattes (moved onto decaf after the second) and each time left the biscuit accompanying it!

Then headed straight to baby shower. It was amazing - everyone made such an effort and it looked so pretty! Was fairly good there as had a cupcake and then a few chocolate caramel buttons and a small sausage roll despite there being loads and loads of cakes! Mum to be was touched as was a complete surprise and was so nice to catch up with friends. Also saw a friend I hadn't seen in ages (but who is my friend on fb) and she had noticed from my posts I'd got into running recently and was saying she had too so it was nice to have a conversation about something I'm passionate about at the moment. Plus all the girls said I'm looking like I've lost weight (and gay best mate said this weekend he can see I've lost it in my face as he can see more bone structure!)

After shower went to shops and they didn't have the key ingredient I needed which was annoying but stayed in last night and went to bed at 845 as was shattered!!!

Today I ought to run again but if I do I won't have a day off until next sun so will have been exercising for 10 days straight plus have got a bit of a sore throat and some sniffles so thinking may give it a miss as much as I am actually itching to get out there (was saying to my friend I mentioned above yesterday that even if I've done a run and am out driving I get really envious of other people out running and wins I was out doing it!). Am meeting another friend at 1130 and were walking her dog to a restaurant and back so we can have Sunday lunch so that's 2-3 hours walking anyway so thinking I won't run today - I really want to though!!!!

My runners world beginners programme moves on on tues - this time to run 3 mins walk 1 x 6. Think that's going to be hard as found the run 2 mins walk 1 x 7 (although I made it 8) hard yesterday but think that was due to red wine/loads of food the night before as I found Thursday night brilliant

Arghhhh - I didn't work out this morning! I literally had no energy to get out of bed and had a bit of a sniffle. I wonder if I'm pushing self too hard as have gone from zero to 3 x hardcore workouts and 2 x runs per week.

I will get up and run tomorrow however as I gave a con call at 6pm tomorrow night which could be a good hour or so with stuff to consider afterwards so by the time that's done I probs won't want to run

Am also worried as spending a fortune at the moment. I just don't know where it goes (well really I do but I can't seem to stop it and I justify it to myself on the basis I'm single with no dependents so may as well enjoy myself) and I do have worries for the future. I need to rein it in but I already know I have to book flights for my brothers wedding when I get paid on Monday to make sure I get there at same time as my family who are travelling from elsewhere

Then the oven needs cleaning (and really does need a professional clean) and will be more vets bills on Saturday plus girl who we just had baby shower for has birthday this week so that's another 20 towards a present for her - I don't begrudge it but it's just never ending!!!

So it's no wonder I've had no energy to get up and work out - have an evil cold! So annoying as means can't run and have had to cancel trainer! But can't push body too hard will just have to recover!!

Still recovering! It's so frustrating not being able to train and I'm annoyed too because it's bloody obvious I'm sick (massive red nose, white as a sheet) but know they are really against people being off sick at work so have hauled self in and on tues worked through lunch and until 7pm ( we don't get overtime) yet an annoying person in my department was off sick mon and comes in tues looking radiant and fully made up and was well enough to go on a date tues night and nothing said to her! It's more annoying because even though I'm her boss she gets paid 8k more than me, bills less than me and doesn't bring in work whereas I do but for some reason one of the guys above me (I think I'll be at same level as them in next 2-3 years and that's then basically owning the firm) thinks the dun shines out of her !!!!!

  • Old work saying: the more you do, the more you're given. The less you do, the more you get away with it.

Yep - I've never been in the work clique, ever and totally sympathise with what you're having to put up with.
