Diggerland, the one up here is in a place called Langley Park, it's only about 6 miles from me. We hire it for 2 hours when it's closed (hence 5pm-7pm) for the support group, does cost £1000 to do this but well worth it. We do a few exclusive hires because it feels safer for the parents, noones staring when your child is having a 'moment' because they know what it is like etc many of the kids couldn't cope with it just being on a 'normal' day, also much less queues on most things :) ..NOISY website just incase Charlie is snoozing when you click http://www.diggerland.com/ there is also one in Kent, Devon & Yorkshire. It's expensive but the kids love it and most of the grown ups too. You can sometimes get MOCs for there aswell. 104 people booked for tonight (have to sneak the extra 4 in as we had a 100 limit :p )

Hev, now that is a story and a half! Such a long time to get it sorted aswell, blimey!

Dusty, I think I agree with the rest, now would be a safer time to go in a way as there will be much more safety measures in place, but until I was stepping off the train/coach I don't know to be honest how I would feel about it, if the safety measures are huge and there is a LOT of police presence etc it can be quite scary for kids especially. My friend was due to go just after the bus/tube bombings with her son but her son ended up so ill with worry they chose not to go.

Sun is out here :D but so are those nasty little black corn flies I think they are called, look like flying beetles. Within 5 seconds there must have been over 40 on a tiny white part on one of DPs tops so I will be shaking the laundry before bringing it in.

As for my list for today, this place is so upside down I can't find it :o will post when I do :) honest
One day I might be more organised...........

Grrrrrrr Morethan on Quidco would not work for me my sis or dad :( even morethan direct would not work. So double checked Lloyds quote found somehow they only had me holding insurance for 5 yrs and not 10+. So when that was corrected the quote came out cheaper. The upshot is that it has 'cost' me £35 more than going with morethan BUT is still £56 cheaper than last year AND we are covered NOW which in this weather is no bad thing.

Hev, sorry I had a giggle too, I'm sure it wasn't funny but you tell the tale so well!
Dusty, like the others said I think I'd be more inclined to go now, security will be so much tighter.

    Update my list
[STRIKE]Ironing[/STRIKE] but just generated some more
    [STRIKE]Bread to make[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Use up manky bananas[/STRIKE] Banana bread with a pear in it too!
[STRIKE]Meal plan still to do [/STRIKE]- out for tea 2 nights this week should be easy.
    Finish the pantry reshuffle
Work out if I can fix a brake light on the car myself
Anything else that comes to light along the way -

It's been sunny on and off so I've done an hour of gardening too. The washing's outside on the airer rather than the line so I can keep whipping it in and out.

Cuppa -time over, off to be industrious again.
    Catch up later.

Hi all back from the sales - brought heaps (I hate clothes shopping) so will try it all on after a cuppa and decide what is going back - got the spare mattress topper! Pigpen god I am naive I was assuming it was happening when he was asleep.

Thanks to all of you about the trip. The kids are all 11 so I wonder how they will feel? It is only a visit to one place so coach in and out, that is assuming there are no road blocks or diversions in place.

    Time for a cuppa.

Dusty with you on that one, I HATE clothes shopping, I'm the grab and dash type who then sometimes takes things back because I don't like them. I don't even usually brave the sales unless I am alone, definately not on the first day, nightmare.

Sat here waiting for the floors to dry, kicked the dogs out into their room, so was much easier, I think I will do the post for tomorrow now as it'll be late when we get back.

DS2 saying he feels poorly, sore throat etc so sent him up to lie on my bed after giving him some paracetamol. Really hope he's better as I don't want to take a poorly child again, we had no idea DS1 was poorly last time until we got into the shop to go home and he threw up everywhere, thought he was queezy because of the spin dizzy ride :o until he was ill for another 2 days..

Pollybear glad I'm not the only one who doesn't want workmen in the house! We should both put a brave face on it shouldn't we? Picture how much better we'll feel once it's done.

Dusty in that case it sounds like they'll all be secure. If my son were doing his trip again this week (they are 11 and spent a week - using tubes, trains etc with 3 adults to 33 children) I might feel differently but as it's coach in and out to one set place I would feel fine.

Still done nothing except cook my hubby's weekend fry-up while I had porridge for breakfast. My daughter has just made some flapjacks for later. As usual when he washes the dishes my husband left all the baking trays and saucepans  so there's still a bit to be done, plus the breakfast stuff. Veggie curry for dinner tonight!

*edit* ta for list lil_me - should we continue on that list or wait till tomorrow?

Pigpen god I am naive I was assuming it was happening when he was asleep.

It may well be happening when he is asleep & I am judging all teenage boys by my own.. but maybe not... I'd ask.. but I'm like that., it might be worth dad having a 'talk' just to check. either way.. it is perfectly natural.
