Blimey, they're nearly as swish as your new shoe collection! You make me miss my youth that I forgot to mispend.
Happyathome, I confess that that's the second one I've fitted 'independantly' in 4 years and yes, the first one was a disaster too.. the front dropped off every time it was used. I'm getting quite good at independance and gathering a small collection of power tools. It would be nice to delegate the jobs though!

I've claimed the pantry back and that's about it for the list. It seems to be a feet-up night tonight. Pan of popcorn and a glass of wine with a very emotional episode of Dr Who. Look away now if you didn't see it (or don't care) no, sorry I can't spoil the revelation..

Hev, you're doing the right thing with the pokey-pola, I applaud you going cold turkey. Good lass. I'm on a 20 week challenge to only reduce my tobacco; so feeble.

    great nails pigpen.

don't know how you fly with them on though. I struggled to do absolutely anything the 1st time i had some on although i think the woman did them wrong as they felt really tight, and i forced them off very quickly and knackered my nails. The 2nd time was for my wedding, and i kept them on for about a month and used it as a great excuse not to do very much at all. ;) DH did everything, although that could have been because it was our honeymoon. :D

I haven't stopped all day here. I keep finding 'jumpers' so the cats have had another tablet each and again i've banished them to the great outdoors. The problem is the gammy legged one, cos he can't groom himself properly, so i was brushing him, and kept finding really lively ones in clumps of fur. I'm just deciding whether to groom them again tonight or spray the house? Probably easier to groom them as there are probably more on them than in the house, then take Charlie to my mums and let DH do the fumigating tomorrow. Then again, do i trust him

    Day has been spent:
    • holding Charlie up as much as possible to avoid him getting any on him, but it didn't work
    • rehoovering the whole of downstairs again
    • plus other defleaing activities.
might update again later. I've eaten rubbish all day, and i'm just deciding whether to open a bottle of wine i bought earlier cos it was on offer, or to just crack open something harder like voddie or my tia maria, cos it might make the deflea-ing more bearable. I hate being on my own all day, particularly when there is nothing on the telly. I stuck on Right said fred's top 50 camp videos on a music channel, cos it really is that bad.

Well, i'm going to wash up and make the baby bottles, and then see what i feel like then.

    Michelle, x

oh - and i think it is welcome back to vastsarah? I'm sure i've seen her put a toe in our door before :D but welcome anyway. We still don't bite

Michelle, there isn't much he can muck up with the fumigating, maybe if you don't trust him to 'just cover anything soft/fluffy/material' with the stuff maybe a babysitter for Charlie and you could help ? , but I do think it's a good idea to keep Charlie out of the way of it if possible, it's not nice stuff especially for littlies. I ended up treating my dogs last night as I know they haven't been done since we went away and the thought made me itchy.

Worst thing we ever had was bird mites, from the horrible birds nests in the loft, had to get the entire house fumigated by the council bloke so we stayed elsewhere for 3 days as DSs were only little. http://birdmites.org/mites.html they were just littel pin size moving dots on the wall near the light fitting on the morning, by evening time there was hundreds of them, yuk, I shudder just thinking about it.
One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen, do the nails go on line that or does she paint them afterwards? I'm intrigued. I should know the answer because manicures is one of the things I do but i don't do acrilics so that's my excuse!

Hev-i applaud u giving up diet coke. I really should but i'm down to a glass a day from two litres a day so maybe none should be my next target. Well done you.

Good for you I say, I've been too serious most of my adult life but life really did begin at 40 for me.

Michelle, I think vodka might repel cat fleas more than wine would if that helps..:rotfl:
Hey, this is better than the student house party I was supposed to be at tonight. And I can wear my 'jamas.
