It may well be.. but maybe not... I'd ask.. but I'm like that., it might be worth dad having a 'talk' just to check. either way.. it is perfectly natural.

I just asked OH and he said he has no idea and to ask him if he is going to the toilet before bed when I said I was sure it is not wee he said - I don't know go and ask your flyladies:rotfl: When I asked DS the other day if he was getting hairs under his arms he went bright red and said don't ask me personal questions. I have a book somewhere about teenagers/sex etc - never read it, now might be time to find it.

Right need to make a cake and clean out school guinea pig - it has hardly eaten anything all weekend - if it is going to die I hope it waits until after 9:00 tomorrow

Dusty.. he obviously is getting hairs.. I'd be having a nice talk with him.. he is probably enbarrassed because he doesn't realise how normal it all is.. we have bit of a body thing in our family.. we all have a body and have absolutely no inhibitions whatsoever.. prudishness is non-existant & nothing is sacred... we went for a fathers day meal with my 2 sisters, my mother and stepdad and over dinner discussed the hair I had plucked off hubbys penis then used the same tweezers to pluck his nose hair! lol.. that's how we are.

I think while most of the growing up things are covered in topics at school they miss out fundamentals like this and how everyone is the same and it is all natural and not something to hide away and morality isn't touched!! Open and honest is best I think.

Oh gosh I think I am off on one today.. I have most of the downstairs cleaned and looking fab again. I have now banished the children upstairs to sort their messes so I can sort their clothing and maybe get the boys room redecorated.. once hubby has fixed the skirting boards.

The middle room appears to be evading tidying somehow.. it is no more than an indoor garage at the moment and is peeing me right off!! That is my summer holiday task I think.. sort through it and bin everything possible and donate the majority of toys to anyone who will take them.. they have been unavailable for the last 2 years and the children managed so they can go!!

Thanks pigpen I just had a little chat with him whilst putting the clean sheets on. I did do the talk thing when he was in Year 6 and I was ok at that and he has done heaps about it in primary and secondary school (13). I cunningly found the book, never got round to givinig it to him at 11 and said I had been looking at it for DS2, who is 11 and could he read it for me and tell me if it was the sort of stuff they cover in school. Sorry to those of you will little ones I have managed to get this thread way way off topic (well it did involve changing sheet!)

Been in the garden all afternoon. Went out to deadhead the roses and managed to cover the lawn with a mass of prunnings; then got OH to get the saw out for the stuff I could not do and then progressed to the chain saw - better go and stuff some more of it in the garden waste bin.

DS3 decided to swing on the washing line which not surprisingly has snapped:mad:

6 hours of jointly tidying the house, and this is what we achieved.

    Sunday 1/07:
[strike]Sort stuff out for Charlie for the day[/strike]
[strike]Take Charlie to mums to be babysat while we do the ‘clean up’[/strike]
    Clean kitchen sink
[strike]Put cat bedding somewhere not upstairs to dry[/strike]in the bin cos it absolutely stunk and they don't use it anyway, along with an unwashable cushion, and the small scratching post, and all their furry mice they don't play with
Put baby car seat and buggy covers in WM no drying space at the moment, so all in a black bag and thoroughly sprayed for now
    Clean kitchen window sill
Clean glass in window and back door
Clean back door upvc on inside
    [strike]Clean kitchen bench[/strike]
    [strike]Wipe round all small appliances[/strike]
[strike]Clean 2 kitchen tables[/strike] also swapped them round to baby proof the house while it was all out
Pull out fridge, freezer, cooker and washer to clean behind not enough time so will do later in the week
    [strike]Flea spray under appliances[/strike]
Clean skirting boards were hoovered but not washed
[strike]Put any plastic/cardboard recycling out in the boxes[/strike]
    [strike]Hoover kitchen carpet[/strike]
    [strike]Flea spray rest of kitchen[/strike]
    Later, vax kitchen carpet
[strike]Hoover living room/dining room including under all furniture, plus cat scratching post[/strike]
    Wipe skirting boards again, hoovered
    [strike]Spray skirting boards[/strike]
    [strike]Spray living room rug[/strike]
    [strike]Mop laminate floor[/strike]
    Vax the living room rug
[strike]Look through toy box, checking soft toys for fleas[/strike]
Wipe all hard toys and wash the plastic toy box
    [strike]Spray both sets of curtains[/strike]
[strike]Thoroughly wash the dining room table after dealing with all carp on it[/strike]
[strike]Clean both window sills[/strike] and the insides of the windows
    [strike]Chicken curry for dinner[/strike]
[strike]Finish shredding paperwork[/strike], and then empty shredder
[strike]Spend time grooming both cats to check state of play[/strike] over an hour on one cat, all were dead, but the cat's fur is still really matted on his tummy, so i will need to keep working on that with a daily grooming added to my routine i think
    [strike]Hoover hallway and stairs[/strike]
    [strike]Hoover landing[/strike]
    [strike]Hoover bedrooms[/strike]
    [strike]Hoover bathroom[/strike]
    Clean bath/toilet/sink
    Wash towels
[strike]Rescue bedding from TD/fold and put away[/strike] actually stripped the beds, sprayed mattresses, duvets and pillow, hoovered them all again, and we have fresh bedding on for tonight
Dust our room and Charlies did thoroughly hoover the bed frame, suitcases under the bed and the skirting
Try and do some of ironing
[strike]Try and find out what I owe sister for trip next week[/strike] – transfer to her via internet banking
    All washing up/evening kitchen sort
    Make baby bottles
    Unpack rest of clean clothes
[strike]Check airers for dry clothes,[/strike] take off and fold/put away
    [strike]Hang up wet clothes[/strike]

and i must have had a 270 fling boogie with all the stuff that was no longer important once i found out it had fleas, like my handwashed jumpers. We also washed the dyson filters so thanks for sharing that idea as i didn't know you should do that, I think i will also spray them with insecticide before they go back in.

Need to buy more spray tomorrow as we didn't finish off our room or the spare room, so i will do that tomorrow and also try to go to the vets again to pay the bill from the urine test the other week

dustykitten my opinion as a teacher, i wouldn't go because it is a huge responsibility that i wouldn't want to be in charge of, as some teaching unions would definitely not agree with it going ahead in this climate of law suits. As a parent helper i would be happy to.

Thanks one and all for the info on digger land. I have just had a great idea of getting a family ticket for my sister to take her kids as a family xmas pressie. Just need to check that is a suitable idea, although as we are all after less crap in our houses then i'm sure she will think it fab, and the kids will love it as the 4yo i asked last month what he wanted for his birthday and all he wanted was diggers or tractors or trucks. :D

Anyway, off to check out the new thread now

    Michelle, x
