Just sat chilling now with a glass of red mummy medicine - much needed after today. DH only just got in, so haven't even eaten dinner yet, so i think it will be late by the time we finish up, and then he's at work again tomorrow all day. Haven't even got round to reading the can of insecticide but i don't think it will get sprayed now till tomorrow night, and then if it is just me, i might do it then go and have an early night, and then stay upstairs with Charlie until the carpets are vaxed. What a nightmare. You lot keep me sane at least.

OK I have been quite lazy today but also got some stuff done. I was just getting down to the nitty gritty when my brother rang asking to meet for coffee as he has a relationship emergency. Indeed.
So I did the kids' beds and used the vacuum cleaner 'snow plough' style around their rooms, pushing items aside to leave what looks like a slightly tidied up room for each of them! Over dinner I asked each of them to do a 27 fling boogie which bemused them somewhat. So far the daughter has done hers but it was just bits of paper really - still that's something.
Finally Friday - those terrible kids rooms and spare rooms
Level One
[strike]Vacuum Floor (even if it's just where you can see) [/STRIKE]
Level Two
Put anything back in it's place that isn't where it should be
Dust, make sure you get the tops of wardrobes/drawers
Level Three
[strike]Strip beds, vacuum mattress and replace with fresh linen[/strike]
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
Declutter Mission Task
[strike]Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, aim for 27, if you can't find that many, well done, you are obviously making a difference[/strike] I'll consider it done
For those with kids or wear uniforms for work, try to get them in the wash tonight, mkes the weekend easier. Apart from the dailies and night time routines that's the lot for the week, of course if you still want to join us over the weekend you are more than welcome
FRIDAY EXTRA - Don't forget your ME time this weekend, even if it's just a nice relaxing bath or catching up with an old friend, go on you deserve it!!

I'm really hoping I can make a start doing things again tomorrow. I've done nothing accept sit on the sofa for three days and it's killing me. I've been made to promise not to overdo it but I need to do something before I go stir crazy. So, tomorrow, i'm going to do a 27 boogie fling very slowly through the day. If I acheive that i'll add to my list. So; things to do;
1) 27 boogie fling thing xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -
Isn't it funny? When we have loads to do (and are physically able to do it) we just want to sit on the settee. But when somebody or something forces us to sit there we can't stand it!0

I don't ever want to see another banana again - I've bagged up enough to make 24 of the lovely Nigella banana loaves and I still have 28 left over....
however, I have seen a lovely idea of rolling chunks in chocolate (well, actually they said carob powder - but i think not!) and then in nuts or dessicated coconut, then stick in a lolly stick and freeze. Hmmm - all we need now is the sunshine.
Right off to get the last lot of my washing in before it ends up either soaking or half-way up the Eildons. I'm almost down to being able to see the (full)laundry basket - so at least DH will be able to stumble into bed when he gets back from the pub without actually stumbling over any dirty knickers...Is it home time yet?0 -

I'm up to an 8 I think. I've been looking at the mugs and it is imperitive they are chucked and replaced with lovely pastelly polka-dot ones - so the debit card is being given to DH, I'm going to take DS1 to the library for a bit of quality time with mummy - and then it is microfibre cloths and vinegar and I'll try and scrub my way through the need to spend.
I am going to do some serious decluttering though!
Anyway - so far today - 2 loads on the line and another in the WM, BM on again, 2 banana loaves cooling, boys fed and dressed and Spanish pal's hamper is nearly finished. DH is going out silaging this afternoon (we have NO rain - hooray!) so I think we will have to go out and play as well.Is it home time yet?0
