I was more bothered they were on Charlie to be honest, and at the thought of him putting something contaminated with insecticide in his mouth.
Just hoovered again, got the little nozzle on and did under the furniture where i could and also round the skirting boards. Thank god they are downstairs cats. Also did the dining table, and the sideboard. The grainy stuff was everywhere - could just be mud cos they are dirty boys for cats.
Noticed that Fred has been sleeping on the cosy toes from charlie's buggy, so i will need to wash that too. More worried that i need to wash stuff and i have nowhere to get it dry.
my cats voluntarily get in the washing machine, along with everywhere else, but if you are volunteering to come and bath them, you are welcome to Pigpen!!

Evening all,
I'm getting paranoid about cat fleas after reading today's goings on. last summer I had to take a day's leave to crevice tool (? pointy bit on the Dyson) the whole house. Carpet around the skirting is a fave hiding place. Touch wood they haven't been back but I'm quite good at anti-flea dropping. I managed to catch Bob for his flatworm drops this morning..I'll spare the details but it involved me chasing him with loo roll and gaging this evening. Lucy next. Oh, what joy!
Well done if you've flown today, lovely to hear from some of the old regulars too.
I think a half hour flit is in order here, things are a bit higgledy-p. Then I should really do the bathroom that I missed last night. Apart from that I'll just pootle and lurk as I'm working again in the a.m. Hurrah for overtime!
I've also cleared the Bank of Mum and S-Dad debt today so I'm a bit smug again.
ta ta for now

Cha97michelle - that is the best picture ever! I used to have a ginger cat called Henry who used to sleep in the TD - my DH (then my only recently crowned OH) got the shock of his life when he went to get some towels out and found Henry's tail flopping out: he thought he'd fried him!
Now I can't remember for the life of me what did actually happen to Henry. I don't have him any more.. I know that much!Is it home time yet?0 -
Hev - well done on the diet coke - I have to admit it is not one of my vices - i see it and think loo-cleaner!Is it home time yet?0

Nicki, I use duck tape, that thick black stuff, good for fixing vacuum cleaners
Ah! I know that by another name : Gaffa - it has a darkside and a lightside and binds the world together :rotfl::rotfl: It's quite good for taping people to chairs, beds, poles, briefcases to flybars on a stage so they "disappear", taping down/together carbonnets - we had lots of fun with it at uni :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Its a "techies" best friend, closely followed by electrical tape (aka LX):D Unfortunately I'm a bad techie and have none in the house
I've temporarily fixed the hoover I hope - no-more-nails and masking tape a plenty :rotfl: Haven't tried to use it yet so I hoovered the livingroom and kitchen before OH got in  I've done 3 loads of washing, 2 more to doTea was cheese on toast in my clean oven and I've made up a vinegar/water bottle for cleaning it & "George"
Right, I'm off to wash more dishes, and S&S the kitchen then I'm doing NOTHING except dailies & ironing until Monday:wave:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
My only thought with no more nails is make sure it's dry before using it so nothing gets 'glued' to it. Yep we use gaffa tape as the word for it, handy stuff isn't it :rotfl: Also removes eye brow and arm hair, but that can be painful so I am told
Just sorting my weekend list seeing as the boys went to bed when told (another first this week) Dogs zonked out as we took them out on the field before I sent the boys to bed. Puppy in a strop because she ran off so I put her on the lead so she just keeps grumping at me.
Anyone else watching Eastenders? :eek:One day I might be more organised...........

Well, obviously... but won't Sean and Violet make THE most beautiful baby?
I have cleaned the bathroom, made 6 pizzas (2 for me and DH, 3 for Spanish pal who arrives tomorrow so she won't have to worry about cooking, and one for my hungry little fridge) and am about to go back downsatirs and clear up the kitchen, finish peeling and bagging 5 million over-rip bananas for the freezer and then go and retrieve my washing from my neighbour's line (I ran out of line - and pegs!!). Oh and I'd better put the BM on so they have some decent bread to eat as well.
Mood chart +7, I think today (it only goes up to+10 and that is a pigpen shoe fest in Bond Street followed by an overnight stay in Claridges because I was too tired to drive home - yes I did, and NO I couldn't afford it...:rotfl: )Is it home time yet?0
