Definately flying when you clean all that afterwards, I just wish men would learn to do the same. Speaking of which have had words this afternoon as I'm sick of clearing up after him, 6 pop cans just this afternoon left all over the place. Grr!!

My bathroom needs a declutter, when is another matter.

Oh I've cleared the safety hazard that was the bottom of the stairs, well thrown it all in a box. Must sort through kids shoes soon, don't even know which ones fit, time for a fashion parade I think :rotfl:

Noonoo bits are now dry so must get the extra dog off the floor before the kids come home. :o why I have dogs I don't know as I have this obsession against dog/cat hair. I vacuum 3-4 times a day at least now.
One day I might be more organised...........

Oh my goodness pigpen, how have you managed that??? We're really trying hard to clear our debts too, but we just don't seem to be getting anywhere. How have you done it so quickly? I obviously need your advice!

Hev, I was worried about my boy when he was weaning too. My Doctor told me that you have to introduce a child to a food substance on an average of 13 occasions before they'll accept it. It's worked with my little one. I just offer him something he dislikes once a month until he likes it! My doctor also told me to bite the bullet and let the little mite smother himself in it! Apparently, they then associate tat particular food with fun, so they're more likely to eat it. They also get to know the texture and smell of it without feeling under pressure to consume it. Good luck!

just when I was doing so well....I've snapped the hoover :eek::eek::eek: We have a cylinder rather than an upright due to the lack of storage space in our last house so I guess I'll be doing the hoovering on my knees or bent over (OH would enjoy that!:rotfl:) - I'm currently sat here trying to get the thing to stick together with no-more nails :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Oh well, at least I got upstairs hoovered. I suppose I could just sweep downstairs

A tip - no more nails doesn't fix plastic to plastic :o Me thinks I may be in trouble 'cause even superglue didn't work :o:o:o

    I'm having a crisis here.

Just discovered that both cats have fleas. Noticed a strange bug in Charlie's hair yesterday, but i lost it when i went to have a look, then saw one jump on my dining table this morning, and then i went to groom the cat cos he is lazy and really tatty and to check cos we had our suspisions last night, and both of them are riddled.

Both have now been given a flea tablet and kicked outside so that the fleas can jump off them in the garden, rather than in the house. I've hoovered the living room rug and kitchen carpet, but other than that i don't know where to start

told Dh to buy new flea collars on the way home from work.

I have a spray, but can't spray that when Charlie is in the room. Plus, what do i do about the leather 3 piece suite, and the soft toys in the toy box, plus, i had piles of clothes in the living room from the hols. Will they have survived going through the washing machine, or am i now likely to have them in my clothes and wardrobe too????

I've never had to deal with this before. They had fleas when we 1st got them but i knew straightaway and didn't get any in the house.

    Any tips???

current plan is to try and keep Charlie off the carpetted areas till bed time, then spray, leave for a couple of hours, and then vax? Will that work??

    stressed out Michelle, x

    Hi all.

I heard I was being asked about?

How nice!! Thank you!! It is so nice to be remembered!!

I have been extremely busy. Working extra hours due to holliday's, and indeed writing. I'd love to make millions as well Michelle!! :rotfl: :rotfl: Who knows!
Writing has just been a kind of therapy for me to be honest, and it turned into a book as I went along. Then when it got published, I realized I wasn't done with the story yet, and wrote part two!.. and now I'm on part three which will be the final one. It is wonderful to do, but does take a lot of time.

I am trying to keep up with the flying and not doing half bad to be honest.

Today I am just tired though. Birthday party tomorrow for DD3 who will be nine on Sunday. I am expected at a birthday bash tonight at a friend's house, somebody is coming over tonight to buy a mobile phone we have for sale, and in between somewhere I've got to make the tea, and do the shopping for the party and the coming week as I'll be working full time for the next two weeks!!
Oh yeah, and the puppy has arrived at our house as well!! So everytime he wakes from a nap, I'm running him out the door to do his weewee...

Can I just go to bed and wake up when it's all over?

Check on the bottle how long it needs to be left on before vacuuming/cleaning the carpet and if it's safe for Charlie. Wouldn't spray Charlie's toys but might be worth washing them if you can. I don't think they can get 'in' the leather. Possibly do the curtains if you're worried. Oh and make sure you do behind the skirting boards as they hide from the light.

Nicki, I use duck tape, that thick black stuff, good for fixing vacuum cleaners :D

Pigpen, I think my weekend might be the halls mission too, have coats in front and back halls, think the kids have about 6/7 each then there is DPs which there is more off grr!

Anyway, enough of me. I've noticed that there are a few folks missing that posted regularly - becca, mumoftwo, tartan mum, traceyg. Did i miss something while away? Anyone know where they are?

Bless you Michelle!! This is the first time I've been on proper since our break and when I saw this I was so happy that someone missed me. :o How sad am I?

Last time I was on I was super-duper stressed. Trying to get ready for ILs coming to stay overnight. They're lovely but you naturally want to have the place looking ok for them. However, the real issue was that they'd asked if it was ok to have some friends of theirs over. We know them well and they're really nice but obviously I felt the need to not have the house a complete hovel. Plus trying to get sorted for going away. I thought I was going to explode. Luckily the super stars on here got me motivated to get on with it but I didn't get back on the next day to thank everyone. So a very, very belated thanks. The place was alright-ish. Good enough for me not to worry about it anyway.

Our holiday was fan-dabby-dosy. Not too far away from home but far enough if that makes sense. Back to reality now though :D

Since we got home I've been a bit rubbish on the FLY front. My get up and go (such as it was) has got up and run off. No motivation at all. House isn't that bad but it's not great either. Why can't I get off my bum and do something????

Hugs to all those affected by the terrible, terrible weather down south. it's beautiful here today (for a change!) so I hope everyone is ok.

Off to do some emergency cleaning before DH comes home and thinks I've sat on my bum all day......... which I have. ;) But some of it was on my bum playing with DS :p

    Love to all

    Since I'm here..

    How is everybody doing?
Are any of you affected by the floods? We even hear about that on the news here in Holland. How awful!!

And has anyone heard from Moggins? Does anyone know how she's getting on? and if she's okay?

fleas in soft toys.. put them in bags and ptu them in the freezer overnight!!! Do it again in a few weeks to kill of the larvae.

The chances are they won't have spread too much in the house TBH.. they will have had loads suddenly hatch after cold wet weather so it probably isn't as bad as you think.

lovely to see you Becca.. XxXxX
