Well its almost payday, so almost time to pay off a big chunk of this Egg loan to get rid of it once and for all!! My plan for clearing the remaining £529 is roughly as follows:
£21 from paypal that I'm waiting for from ebay sales
£20 Standing Order from June Salary
£15 Change from food shopping this week
£450 from wages
£23 from either next weeks food shopping change or from my allowance for this week
And that will be that! I'm off to help on a school trip tomorrow, so unless I am up at the crack of dawn I will be doing the payments later tomorrow night.
I literally can't wait to get this one cleared and update my 1st July total next Tuesday.
Had a bit of a run in with DH last night, more of a him shouting his opinions at me and me getting upset. He's on my case about how I'm rushing everything trying to get it paid off all this year - which isn't my aim at all because its not realistic.
He doesn't seem to care that he upsets me so much, all I get is "You should know by now thats just how I am and I'm not trying to be horrible" but I think he should also know that I'm quite a sensitive maybe even timid person, and somebody shouting at me and looking at me like I'm some sort of idiot, makes me upset! Especially as he is making no effort to pay anything extra to anything.
I want to be able to go on holidays with the kids, and live a comfortable life, but to be honest I don't think he cares, so long as he gets to carry on with his hobbies and doing what he wants when he wants.
Gosh that turned into a bit of a rant! Never mind, at least its off my chest!

So thats the last of the ebay money in that I was waiting for, so I've just transferred it, rounded it up to £21 (it was £20.86!) and paid it off the loan, making the new balance:
£508
That will disappear by this time next week, with a bit of effort and a chunk of my pay!
Nothing else to report, so will be back tomorrow once I've made some payments.... happy debt busting!

So I'm a day late but here I am making payday payments the day after payday!!
Payments have been flying out so thats always good when you're debt busting, the new MBNA Card DD came off, so that will be £83.50 per month. That one is 0% for 30 months so am leaving it to tick away by itself as that will be the last one that I attack.
Annoyingly SLC are still taking money from my tax AND collecting a Direct Debit payment, its annoying as its £85 from wages and £89 from my bank, never mind, it means that the balance is now only aruond the £250 mark.
The Egg loan I have just paid a chunk off, so its sitting at (drum roll!!)
£68!!!
I am so pleased with this, even though I have £68 to raise in 5 days to clear it by the end of June. I'm going to cut myself some slack and give myself to the end of next week to clear it - not pressuring myself as I'll just get stressed and throw the towel in.
Have to pay the minumum to the Tesco card but thats still 0% too so its all looking okay at the moment. Will have to try and do some ebaying later to see if I can raise some funds for this last £68.
July is looking like it will be a tough month, as I have increased childcare due to the school hols, so it might be a bit of a toughy to tackle the Northern Rock Loan too. Its sitting at £739 so will see. I have a rocking chair to sell, and I have share money coming in that should be about £500 so will see if I can get that to pay off NR. I also am due a mobile upgrade so will sell my current phone / recycle it and that will be some cash.
Anyway, I'm off on a massive tangent, so will sign off for now!
Happy Debt Busting MSE'ers!

1st of July today, can only mean one thing.... signature update!! So my new shiny signature shows that our debt total is now standing at:
£16,531.94
Since my last payday, I have paid off £1,174.32 towards the debts - I am over the moon with this effort! If I can do this every month, the in would be gone in 14 months which would mean a debt free date of 1st September next year, that would be amazing.
I'm not going to lie, its been tough at times, and I've felt like giving up, plus I still have £68 to pay off the egg loan. However, I'm confident that will go this week, and I'm not going to be too hard on myself given that I've paid off over £1100!
Will need to get back on ebay and get some stuff up, thats been a big help with little payments - anyone who thinks little payments don't make a difference.... they do!! On the egg account I've made payments of as little as £4, which I would have no doubt squandered on junk, so it is helping.
Right - back to the drawing board to see where else I can cut back, scrimp, save and sell :money:
Happy Debt Busting Everyone!!

Have just made a payment of £14 from the ebay things I had waiting for payment, and the change in my bank account, making the new total of the egg loan:
£54
I've sold a piece of furniture thats being collected later, so that will be another £20, so I am confident I can be rid of this by Friday.
Have also made plans to test drive a cheaper car later in the week, so will see how that goes.
Thats all for now!

Hi Mrs S
You are doing so blooming well. What a great amount to have paid off since your last payday.
I am confident you can be rid of the loan by Friday

Thanks OF! I will have to pop over to your diary and catch up with you! Yes I'm on a mission - I just need to try and keep momentum and get it done!
Have paid the £20 for the furniture I sold off the loan so we're now down to:
£34!!
Had really hoped to be done with it by Friday, but I have one music lesson to pay for my DD at £14 and I have a couple of other kiddie related things to pay this week before the end of term, £23 to school and £17 to nursery... so thats £54 I wasn't accounting for spending!! Never mind, we'll see how I get on. Haven't done any more ebaying yet, but will get on to that at the weekend hopefully.
Have heard through the grapevine that we may get slight payrises this month, so that will also help, although if its not through the system by next Monday I think we have to wait until August.
Anyway, onwards and upwards - getting there slowly!!
Talk soon,

Ooops, almost a week with no update - this will not do!!
I don't really have anything to update, as I predicted July is going to be a hard month, and the last £34 is going to be stuck for the next week or two at least!! Once I get the family allowance it will go towards that, but thats not for another 2 weeks today.
Ah well, I knew it was going to be a toughy - only way to look at it is, that this should be the last year that I need childcare over the summer, because we're going to go it alone next year and juggle work!
Will pop back soon!

Hi Diaryland
I've just been trawling my bank accounts to try and come up with the last few £££ for my egg loan.... and I've "found" £22 spare that was in my car account, so that now brings us down to...
£12!!!
I can't believe that I only have £12 left on what started life as a £10,000 loan! Need to do some serious ebaying so that I can bust this asap! I knew this month was going to be tough with the kids being off, but it would be amazing to be free of these little accounts before they go back to school.
This weekend will be spent, enjoying the sun (if it stays around!), ebaying, and trawling bank accounts and spreadsheets for the last £12 for the egg account. I think I'll phone them up and make the last payment over the phone for the £12 when I scrape it together, then I'll know its definately closed.
Edited to add that I've just noticed that my "three little accounts" are now under £1k in total after that payment, it started off at £2046.26 when I started to tackle these three, and they are now collectively at £999.44.... love it when the number drops from a thousand, to a hundred etc!
Wish me luck, and happy debt busting MSE friends!
