Why anybody would leave a newborn with a dog is beyond me, but to leave a newborn with an adult dog you haven't raised yourself, that your fella got from another bloke down the local pub is unadulterated stupidity.

Hi all been MIA in for a while been keeping busy so haven't been online in a while. Haven't had too much of a chance to read back but just popping by to see if anyone has any advice of room dividers had a look on amazon but everything seems really dear we need it to be a out 1.8m

I current cant put C down without him rolling across the room!

Hope everyone is well, off to catch up now
  • Room dividers - look on gumtree, ebay, or preloved.co.uk - I'm about to sell 2 :) (Don't suppose you're near Wolverhampton?!)

Ref animals - we have a cat. She was banned from the bedroom from when I was about 8m pregnant so that she was used to not being allowed in there. When he was a titchy one we didn't leave them alone. That was about it really, no biggie. What I didn't expect was the irrational hatred I had for my poor puss when LO was born. I DESPISED that cat for about 3 months. If she so much as looked at Reu I was furious. Totally irrational, totally unjustified (she didn't want to go anywhere near that noisy smelly thing!), and I love my cat sooooo much. But I completely resented her for a while. I do think it was hormones though as it passed!

With cats, what you have to worry about is when LO is mobile and then of course cat food is sooooooo tasty, cat water is soooooo much fun to splash in, and cat litter is a fantastic play scene to drive your cars through............. the actual cat herself knows to steer well clear when she hears a toddler bellowing "CAAAAATTTTT!"

Thanks Oscar it was more the baby containing kind I was looking for, we have double doors between sitting room and dining room

Turtle am in Dublin so unfortunately not an option will check out your suggestions

Katie congrats on exchanging happy packing, we moved just before C was born and the plan is to never move again

I got C weighted yesterday he has more than doubled is birth weight yay and has put on 1kg in 5 weeks. I guess all his night feeds have made a difference. Am so happy that he is bang on track!
  • Ah you meant what I call baby gates?! Ours was from Amazon but I think they're likely to come up fairly often on Gumtree or eBay.

Yup basically a 2m baby gate, C is on the rolling across the room so we are on a baby proofing mission. Amazon has them but £66 which I thought was a bit pricey! So will have a look for some second hand.

We are doing blw and its going really well, c aeems to be really enjoying it, the only problem is I have to steal my nerves everytine we sit down to eat am super nervous of him choking. He is eating really well and it is fantastic to watch.

    We have this one
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Super-Wide-Custom-Fit-Gate/dp/B003Z9LDLI

was a bit cheaper when we bought it. (though not much) there may be some second hand ones about.
Its doing sterling service in protecting the tv at the moment so we have it angled.
If fully extended and out straight then I'd mount it to the wall for stability.

    hopt that helps

Our son threw food for the fist time ever today, did he do it at home? Did he heck, did he choose something clean? Of course not! He had a little tub of apple sauce, grabbed the whole thing and threw it on the floor, to top it off the cafe was carpeted!
