Other things we love here but maybe more suitable from 18m plus are little tikes cosy coupe, any sort of Lego Duplo and Vtech toot toot range. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Hi mrsh, we got a smart trike dream for his first. Best to weigh up how much you would use one though as they are quite pricey, we use ours at least once a week even if its just walking to one of our parents or the park.

I buy lots of clothes off eBay/fb etc and never had an issue with quality, when they are little they grow out of them so quickly I think they barely have time to wear them out! Now he's getting bigger I can see how things could wear out (he wore through his first jean knee just the other week)...but if I was to sell I wouldn't put those ones in, so I wouldn't expect to receive them in a bundle either iyswim.
Reu's main present for his first birthday was a smart trike thing which he loved and has been well played with all last summer, can't wait for nicer weather to get it out again. Was only £25 from Tesco though - I since wished I had got one second hand as they go for as little as £5-£10 and the littleys don't know they are preloved!0 -
Just to comment on the eBay thing. I haven't bought but have sold bundles of old clothes. Lo grows so fast they were literally in perfect nick as I bet he wore most things five times at most. We had a couple of items he puked on or pooed up but I didn't sell them. I have a massive bag of clothes now but I only made 26.00 from last bundle and after fees it wasn't worth the hassle so if anyone has a baby boy and needs clothes in size 3-6 months I'll happily send them on if your happy to cover 6.00 postage x0

I've sold loads of things on Ebay. We sell all our old Next stuff.
Anything else isn't worth it for me as they don't sell as well and since we buy the majority of our stuff brand new I'd rather give it away than spend hours photographing it, packaging it up, getting to the post office with a toddler in tow and making next to nothing.
If you buy any kids clothing from H&M in the next few days they will give you a 20% off voucher for the rest of feb and March. We bought a cardigan, jeans and a leather look jacket over the weekend :j I love H&M for boys stuff, one of the best out thereThe frontier is never somewhere else. All our clothes are on their third baby now, and are in the loft for the next baby to appear in our little group. I tend to buy off ebay but not sell much as it's not really worth it for the prices they go at. Baby clothes don't really go out of fashion, we've room in the loft, so it's just easier to keep them and save whoever gets pregnant next a load of money.0

True, it's a lot of hassle for not much return. I got a decent amount for a couple of bundles (seemed to be the ones with coats and snow suits in them) but on the whole wish I hadn't bothered with some.
Especially now I have come across a FB page where a lady makes a quilted keepsake blanket out of baby's old clothes, which uses about 30 babygros. Luckily I think I can manage to send the required amount of baby clothes from things I didn't include in the bundles but sold most of the best quality stuff!0 -
thanks for the comments on ebay, I got my first few items through. I got a gorgeous bundle for 7.50 plus 6.50 postage with 3 lovely coats, 4 pairs of trousers and lots of t-shirts. I feel sorry for the seller as they didn't get much for them. I have bid on a few more bits - printed t-shirt quality generally isn't too good but that's why I don't tend to buy them myself. I figure that if I don't like stuff, I'll just give them to my local sure start or social services collection. I think the well worn stuff will be good for nursery and painting as I've heard that kids can come back pretty messy from nursery.0
