Not too bad thanks, although starting to get a bit concerned it won't all fit in the van! Only really got the kitchen left to do then the every day bits as we leave, and clean through. And not sad at all - we're going to have a pantry, I'm excited about being able to take advantage of bogof offers at the supermarket
:rotfl:
Ooooh, hadn't thought of that - our new utility room is next to the kitchen and has lots of cupboards! There's no way I could fill them all with cleaning stuff, and now I know what to do with them! :j0 -
R.e bibs, defo get the cotton type and not the wipe clean type. The wipe clean can't be washed in the machine, only wiped down. I ruined mine by machine washing and much preferred the cloth ones Nutella linked too.
No bibs here anymore either, he does not like themThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thanks Amus, that's handy to know. Our cats are also both lap sitters and cuddlers so not sure how we'd address that as we don't have a utility or separate room for them, and one isn't one for going out much.0

We've got 2 small dogs and they have both been absolutely fine with our LO. I think the first few weeks were confusing for them as they weren't used to hearing a baby cry, but they took it in their stride. My in laws had them for a few days after we got home from the hospital and when they came back we let them sniff her blanket before introducing her. We also designated 1 chair for feeding and cuddling her which we made out of bounds to them (they're allowed on the sofa). This seems to have worked ok and now they're reaping the benefits of baby led weaning so I don't think they mind her being around now! Having said that I don't leave them alone together, and wouldn't until she is a good bit older.0

Anyone seen the news about the dog that bit off the newborns head? Honestly, I'm choked up about it. She was 6 days old. Had spent a few days in special care and only been home 2 nights. Dog wasn't one of those on the dangerous dog list either. So sad. :'-(DD1 June 1997

That's so sad angelmommy. I wouldn't ever leave one of my cats alone with baby until he's much older. The spraying got so bad that we built a conservatory and moved the cats into it when baby came home from hospital. They're scared of him!
The nuby bibs are on offer at sainsburys and tommy tippee weaning stuff so I got some cool dribble bibs that are like kerchiefs, 2 bowls and little food tubs. Not sure what to do about cups as I've heard non spill can be bad coz they have to suck too hard to drink. I got a plastic nuby bib with a crumb catcher but I'm gonna return it as it's wipe clean and I can see the crumb catcher being hard to clean.
I got some grufffalo dungarees and nemo swim shorts in the 25% off0 -

Completely gut wrenching. Pains me to even imagine how harrowing for her family. It's made me sick to my stomach the poor poor little baby.0 -
Oh gosh - I hadn't seen that when I posted - my timing is terrible
What an awful story, it makes my blood run cold.0 -
It's absolutely heart breaking, and seems to be something happening more often. The dangerous dogs list is as much use as a chocolate teapot too, every dog has the potential to be dangerous just as much as it has to be a loving pet.0
