Had anyone's LO been sent to GPs for having a big head? T's is off the chart at four weeks old so I've been told by HV to take him to doctors but I can't see what doctors will do other than measure it- he's happy and healthy so I'm not concerned.
Pretty sure it's genetic- I had a huge head as a baby but it's normal now other than the flat patch at the back lolLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Can't remember who mentioned it (sorry) but the baby that wakes for a feed a couple of hours after last feed - have you tried giving water instead?
My mother in law & some others mentioned giving LO water when they wake up in middle of night & because they don't get fed milk they don't wake up for it - started to do this with Rebecca over last couple of nights & think it is working (I know she is getting enough food & is gaining weight well - thought she just started waking for comfort feed (I know she can sleep 8-10 hours without a feed) so trying it out!)0 -
Water definitely worked for us0

I have a feeling my LO wakes up for the comfort of sucking rather than anything else... will try water in a bottle and see if it starts to make a difference.
I really want to stay away from dummies if I can but I'm more than aware that currently I'm being used as a dummy...0 -
Hi ladies, hope everyone's well? How is your move progressing Nutella? We're *this* close to setting a date, and I'm *THIS* close to phoning our buyer's solicitors myself and telling him to get his bottom moving on it.
A lady from the dentist was at our playgroup last week saying similar about dried fruit. That teeth can handle three hits of sugar a day, so brekkie, dinner and tea, best to give dried fruit as part of a meal rather than a separate snack if you're going to give them at all. But she said G is fine with his snacks - morning generally half a rice cake and banana, afternoon half a pitta bread and houmous. Trying to ease off the raisins but they're so darn handy to have in my bag! Saying all that though Mr Fussy Pants has hit an all time low with his eating right now anyway.
Re Soreen, G has the banana one at the moment which says 6.4g sugar per 1/10th of a loaf, and I easily get more than 10 slices out of a loaf for G. Might be an alternative?Newborn thread member

We have the banana one too and I cut it into slices and then half again. He wont really eat raisins as a snack anymore which is annoying as they are handy I agree.
Hope you get your solicitors moving, ours were massively slow too.

Must admit I was just a little disappointed when I got to the store on Tuesday
OH is poorly - bug has gone through G, me and now him so he's curled up in bed (ie on the sofa as we're still on the sofa bed til we get into the new house) so I'm messing around on the interwebs tonight. And eating brownies. Soon to make a cup of tea. Bored, me?!Newborn thread member

Evening all
Thanks Gilly, Sunshine and Katie for the malt loaf replies - I might try the banana one, or just not worry about it; given that LO will eat anything and everything I'm not exactly struggling to find things to give herBought a pack of the new Organix poppy seed crackers today - she now knows the word 'cracker' (from the nursery) and keeps asking for one and we never have any, so I thought I'd surprise her
We have our first sentence: 'I found it!'. She says it whenever she, uhm, finds something, picks something up, or doesn't want to let go of something. In other words - all the time
The homeware and clothes section of our Sainsbury's is closed until 18th Feb for a refurb, so I'm quite pleased the 25% event isn't on yet
Katie, I hope the solicitors get their act together soon - how frustrating! Our sale is moving quicker than the purchase, but they're both ticking along nicely, apart from a sloooooow mortgage lender - we've only just had the survey done!...
Hope everyone else is well x0 -
Having issues with my supply here, pretty sure it's dwindling, especially in the last week.
For the past month or so I have expressed 5oz a day, doing 2 ten min pumping sessions, one at 5.30ish when she has the previous days bottle, and one at 11pm when DD is in bed. For some reason now I am struggling to get even 3oz.
I have a feeling it's partly to do with the fact DD has slept through from 10 weeks, so no middle of the night feeds, and partly to do with the fact that as soon as the milk stops coming she won't carry on sucking to stimulate production, she just turns around and sucks her thumb.
Going to try fenugreek, and as a last resort may have to get up in the middle of the night to pump. Thing is, I just know if I set my alarm to go off I would end up switching it off and going back to sleep!0
