I'm another advocating side lying position, it's fab for my fast let down too as stops Izzie from choking on my milk.
She ended up back in the bed last night after refusing to sleep anywhere but on me. She's been clingy today as well but I've managed to get her into the moses basket for now.
HV tomorrow, looking forward to finding out how much she weighs now

We have nursed lying down and in every other position imaginable just to try and get comfy. Finally after 10 hours I handed him to my mum so I could grab some sleep. Seems though that he is doing the same tonight so looks like little sleep again.

Rummer sorry to hear you were up all hours again. Hope you managed to get some rest. Could you express a bottle or two to see how much he's eating or give him some formula to fill him up a bit more? Lots of babies like to suckle so perhaps a dummy might work. Keeping fingers crossed for you x

I second what lobey said rummer. Thomas used to be up cluster feeding until the early hours so I give him one bottle of hungry baby milk at 10pm which seems to fill him up. This is on top of a bit of breast milk as I was told that in the evening the milk contains a sleepy hormone or something which helps them to sleep.

I hope you managed some sleep. Big hugs xx

Not sure how old your lo is rummer but it could be a growth spurt? I recall a few occasions where my lo fed and fed and fed for days/nights. Bad night for us last night. 5 times of waking: he did have his jabs yesterday and is bruised this time :(
  • 10 hours is a lot Rummer, even for a newborn. If it helps to hear my experience, my LO had problems feeding and it turned out to be a posterior tongue tie. I am not saying that your LO has one but it would be worth asking your HV about a referral to have it checked out (tongue tie, especially posterior is not always diagnosed easily and was ruled out by the midwife wrongly in our case. The earlier your LO is checked the better: my girl never learned to latch properly so now I have to express all her feeds which is a major pain and to be avoided if you can)!

Nutella, I just have to thank you again for the pacapod recommendation :D I've everything I need for the next 24hrs and then some in there! And it is all neatly organised too :)

Take care ladies, I won't have regular access whilst I'm away but will pop in every now and again when I can

I know, new room seems so grown up! He is moving up with two of his little friends which is nice.

We are having tantrums too, challenging for me as I struggle not to comfort him if he cries but if he had thrown something etc then he has to learn its wrong...tough times!

Hope your survey goes smoothly, bless your OH still working away! Why do these things happen at the worst time?!

Our house is lovely thanks, although we are having to bite the bullet and get a new boiler fitted. The current one is so inefficent and is the origional one so 45+yrs old but new one means shelling out 3K eeek!!! Think its got to be done though.

    Anyone seen Sammie lately?

Hello!! Charlie has moved downstairs too, and the difference is amazing! He's talking (jabbering) so much more, though i still need nod and smile a lot, or get him to show me what he's trying to say bless. We went through a tough stage a month or so back when there was lots of tantrums, but as he's starting to communicate more, he's getting less frustrated. I'm also teaching him that instead of shouting and screaming, to just ask for help. So every now and then i can hear him getting wound up, then "help!" lol
