Hi Ladies,
Hope all are well?
Feeling like the living dead this morning! Had a great sleep last night but still feel exhausted, roll on the summer holidays in 3 weeks! Can't wait to have a slower pace of life and spend time at home with my little lady.
We are off to speech therapy this morning so taking the morning of work. Hope they will be pleased with her progress, her favourite words at the moment are 'chocolate' and 'cookies'! Oh dear!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Hi everyone,
It's been ages again since I logged on here...I don't know where the time seems to go!
Have managed to read back a few pages,
Jannine - good to hear about Poppy's progress.
Good luck with the potty training to those who have started/starting soon, I dreaded that stage with my older 2 boys but we are quite a way off starting with Noah so not thinking about it yet here.
We are off on holiday the day after the kids finish school so desperately thinking of things to keep Noah occupied on the plane! The iPad seems to be our number 1 option at the moment as he will sit and watch/play Mr Tumble!
Hope everyone had been enjoying the weather.:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

Hi Sammie! :hello: Good to 'see' you - how is Noah getting on? Hope all is well and you're still getting the support you need.
As for things to do on the plane - does he like stickers? My LO loves the ones from Usborne - we have a couple reserved for plane journeys, and they always keep her occupied for a while. If he likes drawing, the Crayola colour wonder pens and pads are also brilliant for plane journeys, as they only work on the special paper that they come with, so no mess on seats and tables0 -
Don't you just love it when they've learnt something new?
'Mummy! It's tea time! Happy birthday to you!'
5 seconds later:
'Mummy! It's tea time! Happy birthday to you!'
And so on.
Its 7am and I'm preparing breakfast. And my birthday is in October :cool:0 -
Hi Nutella,
Noah loves drawing so I will look into the pens you recommended, thanks. We do have a travel aqua draw so will take that too.
Noah is doing really well thanks, still no speech or babble but he is learning to communicate through makaton. His favourite sign is 'more'! Typical!
He starts preschool in September which is exciting and scary all in one, I'm sure he will be fine but because he can't communicate I worry. Everybody is pleased with his progress though which is great and very reassuring.
Thanks for asking after him.:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

Sammie, that's great that he's doing so well. I love how his favourite sign is 'more!' :rotfl: - it's still one of my LO's favourite words.
Judging by the utterly random 'conversations' taking place at my LO's nursery (breakfast yesterday: one child was pointing at his t-shirt saying 'snail! snail!', another was chatting to a little toy car and a third was just sitting there singing to herself) and the fact that children at that age tend to play alongside each other rather than with each other, I'm sure he'll be fine at pre-school. Will the staff know a bit of makaton to help him along?0 -

she sounds adorable!
Thank youI do think she's rather adorable, but I also think I might be biased!
ETA: Although she's a little bit less adorable when she's lying on the floor screaming because I won't give her any more apricots/she's not allowed to sit on the dining table/she wants to wear her wellies indoors0 -

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Just had a peek and bought a dress I'd wanted for a while, but hadn't bought because I thought it was too expensive - now down from £19 to £5.50! :j0
