On here procrastinating about organising the toy mountain - just ducked in to say glad things are on the up jannine - waiting for milestones with prem babies was just awful enough with Erin. I got my comeuppance - after Erin being stuck where I put her for ages and ages and ages - I got an early walker in her sister - and she's a worse climber than her sister - I've had to remove Robyn from the top of the fire guard about 20 times today!
No more for us though - 11 months between two of 'em in a 2 bedroom house with no chance of moving (we're right in the path of HS2 so no chance of selling at present) and hubby got asset stripped pretty pronto after number2! Evening all.
Don't think I've posted on here this week. It's been an up/down week with the beginning being to me horrible as my husband told me he was working Saturday and having Friday off as they asked him and he felt being the newbie (3 weeks in) he couldn't say no, it should of been his Saturday off as he worked last Saturday.
Instantly I was cross purely because last weekend obviously he worked Saturday and Sunday we spent all day looking at cars for the 2nd weekend in a row which meant we couldn't go to a bbq with friends we'd had organised for weeks.
We had planned this Saturday to go to York for the day as just haven't done anything as a family for ages. So I'd booked myself into the hair dressers for 8am and were then setting off afterwards. So of course those plans had to be cancelled and him being off tomorrow makes no difference to me as I have things on all day, Friday is super busy for me every week.
You know when just the smallest bit of news you make into a massive deal and it feels like everything is against you, well that was me on Monday.
Saturday I've decided to take LO to her nursery summer fete, thought it was a great idea to show her that mummy can sometimes stay and do fun things were her (we're still crying every morning I drop her off) and then thought sod it, I'm going into town afterwards for lunch even if I am on my own.
Re another baby we're still undecided. We both said no more when LO was only a few mths old but I would imagine that's pretty normal cos it's such a shock to the system becoming 1st time parents.
We do need to move though if we have another as just have a 2 bed flat and the lack of storage space is already an issue. We have no dining area and would love to sit at a table, all 3 of us eating tea together, I see how much she enjoys sitting at the table when I go to a baby group on Thursdays and they all have lunch together.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Hey ladies
Janinne, so fab to see you and soo glad your little lady is making good progress.
We will try for another, maybe in about 6months or so. Ideally Aiden would at least get funding for 15hrs a week or almost be at school so we arent paying twofull sets of fees.
All good here, little poppet gets more chatty by the day and makes me laugh non stop on our time together. He has just learnt his own name so talks about himself in the third person now....last night 'its Aidens house, its Aidens bag, Aidens bed, mummy and Aidens apple....so sweet.

Hi all, we won't be having another until LO is nearing 4, so three years to go! Feels a bit long and late but given the past 18 months, it's what is best for all of us.
I can't believe I'll have a one year old next week :eek:0 -
2 kids is fun!:rotfl:
There's 2 years 1 month between mine. It's lovely having a baby who stays where I put him, but then I don't really get the benefit because I have a rampaging toddler as well!
She's been really good with him though and wouldn't hurt him deliberately, but then as you probably know they can't be trusted not to run into and over things including small children.
We didn't have the luxury of waiting too long because I'm old! It will mean when I go back to work there is about 4 months before her 3 year funding kicks in and in the meantime I'll be working for pretty much nothing
In general, it's been really good. Little man is awesome! I've become expert at playing and interacting with the eldest one-handed and while feeding. The only really hard times are when she is having a toddler paddy and he is screaming for milk. Stereo of demanding attention when you can't deal with both is pretty hard x:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Evening ladies
I hope you are all well. Brilliant to hear your getting a little chatter box sunshine and nice to see you janine!
Oh has been off this week so it has been manic but brilliant. We've been to the beach, zoo, indoor play area and normal signing class and also I've tried two new classes this week. Finally got my bum in gear. Went to a playgroup on Thursday which was a shock, about 30 kids there and it was manic but then I'm used to a structured quite quiet class aren't I? Today I met a mum off netmums and we went to a class, my lo was the biggest there as they were all babies but I was brave to meet someone new anyway. Hoping to continue the confidence next week and try another new place on Monday! Eek.
Any plans for weekend? We are taking it easy, poor lo has had his routine well and truly messed about this weekend so I'm looking forward to a nap with him tomorrow, is that naughty hahaNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Well done for trying something new mrsh2b!! It can only get easier from now on. I always tell myself, when Im in a situation where I am stressing or thinking I cant do it - if I can get through childbirth I can do this
usually makes me get my bum in gear and do it.
Nothing wrong with having a nap with lo, I used to love doing it while he was smaller.

Morning all
Hope everyone's well.
MrsH - huge well done for trying new classes and meeting a mum! :T Hope you find a class you love and some mums and toddlers that you want to spend time with.
LO really enjoyed the Diddi Dance class that we tried this week, so I've signed up
She's now having a nap and I've just finished making sweet potato brownies - am now waiting for them to cool down a bit so I can try them before she wakes up! Sainsbury's food delivery this morning, so the fridge is full of yummy stuff
I'd planned to take LO to the park this afternoon, but it's now raining heavily, so that's not going to happenHope everyone has a nice day x
