Well, it has been a very long day but I'm off to bed any moment. We finally got little man to sleep (no idea how long it will last!) but he has barely napped all day. With hubby on duty with the toddler I tried the 'sleep when baby sleeps' idea. He gave me all of 20 mins at one point...

I'm not looking at that brownie recipe, I just started Slimming World! My mum makes a lovely date loaf with those dates, it's all sticky and gooey. That's also off the menu for the timebeing :-)

I never managed that sleeping when he does thing either - the days I lay down he'd be up within 10minutes then the days I was sat yawning he'd sleep for hours! Hope today is going better?

Hallo ladies, I've been reading just struggle to post when not on the laptop. I feel a little like I've been through the wringer - just had such a busy few days settling into a "new" way of doing things for the next little while whilst mom is visiting (ok, till mid September, so longer than a little while  )

I am rather impressed with myself - managed to wash my car today which I hadn't done for AGES, certainly not since A was born :o

I'm really struggling with OH at the moment :( He seems to think that because he gets up earlier than he would like on the three days I go to work - I wake him at 7 when I leave the house, after I've already been up since between half 5 and 6 - that that then excuses him from getting up with A any other morning because, and I quote, "I work five days a week". Apart from washing the dinner dishes and feeding the cat in the evenings he does nothing in the house - I do all the cooking, laundry, shopping, cleaning, garden and lawn... but that is a good balance as far as he is concerned because I no longer work 5 days a week
I have tried just leaving things like not hoovering for a couple weeks but that didn't spur him on at all. Before A was born he helped with the cleaning as I still did all the other household jobs but he really seems to think he no longer needs to lift a finger

    Have a good week all

Ugh Saf, that's rubbish. Men in general seem to have no idea, think we just sit about on our days off.

I'd leave him alone with your little one for a day and see how much housework he thinks is possible during that time...

It's a good balance for him, because he's doing almost nothing!

We had a slightly better night, and today he has napped a bit. I haven't, but just about coping. Hubby is out tonight and he normally puts the toddler to bed though, so I'm hoping she is really really tired!!

  • Saf - you're not alone re your OH. They just seem to think that because we returned to work part time, the days we have 'off' from work are just that. A few times I have pointed out to my OH that I'm doing my 2nd job full time on a Thurs/Fri with no pay, lol.

Don't even get me started on my oh at the moment. Arguments every day about the lack of help. Every time I say something it's met with "I've been at work" on the only day of the week I actually work and he has lo on his own he gets his mummy to come round and hold his hand! Arrrgh! Don't get me started ha

  • Saf you're definitely on your own. My OH has no idea and I'm sick of the cook, clean, laindry, feed, baby activities etc. routine!

We're on holiday this week, a short break by the seaside in a little self catering holiday let. Was expecting super stressful packing and journey but it's been fine thank goodness. Only difficulty so far is baby not feeding so well in new surroundings yesterday (distracted) and consequently needing some long night feeds last night. And because of the new environment I managed to choose a really uncomfortable spot to feed him so I'm feeling knackered today. Hubby still in bed, he can lie in now and maybe I'll get a nap later!

Other news, baby loves rolling now, though gets stuck on his front fairly often, and have registered for sing and sign class in September to try a bit of signing with him.

Not sure I can do it from my phone without messing up, so could I please be added to the list? Baby Boy E was born 04.02.14

Big hugs to everyone - sending sleepy vibes to the babies and cleaning vibes to your partners...
