Thanks for bringing the list forward Mozzy.
Hmmmm currently sat in swimming pool carpark ready for class at 10. T is asleep and I've a horrid lingering cough/cold. Came because I thought it would fill some time up without me getting too drained, but now he's asleep I'm tempted to go home again... Why don't they ever tell us if it'sa quick power nap, or full sleep?!?!0 -
Did you get swimming lazywife or did you go home?
DS did the same to me when I tried to go shopping the other day. I spent an hour sitting in the car park playing with DD while he slept.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Added myself back into the list
Well done on the potty training Nutella and Gilly! I'm actually quite excited to start (apart from anything it'll be good to save on the nappies!) Went to Ikea this morning and got a new potty as the cheap wilko one I had was too short and he toppled off it a few times. So far he's sat on it long enough to read a book but no "action" :rotfl: Sadly for me though he's much happier sitting on it if he can take the removable bucket bit out
Re dummies G had one just for bedtime from 3months to 10 months - I stopped nighttime BFs then, which went fine (he wasn't having a proper feed in the night then, and I didn't appreciate being woken up and chewed on!), but 2 days after that I was up 10+ times putting his flipping dummy in so I binned it. Day and a half of crying at nap/bedtime and he was fine.
And sleeping through, he slept through from that point so 10months, after I stopped BFing in the night and took the dummy away. He's still (touch wood!) fairly reliable now, and he sleeps til a (fairly) civilised hour of 6-6.15am, and then will keep himself happy 'reading' whatever book he demanded to take to bed. So cute hearing him try and count cars. He's not got past one yet so its just "oooone...ooone....oooone"Newborn thread member

Hi Ladies,
My goodness I've not been on here for ageeeessss!! Loads of new names and babes!
I've been having hard times with my little lady the past year, she's required lots of intervention and hospitalisation so not been around much and not had much relevant to say and didn't want to bring the thread down.
We've finally turned a corner though and she is making massive progress. We've finally started walking in the last month and she is saying a few words - very proud of her! She has started throwing the most horrendous tantrums which are very trying, I'm sure plenty of you ladies can relate.
Hope to see lots of familiar faces (and new ones of course) and will enjoy chatting to you all again regularly.
xx
P.S With reagrds to sleeping, we are very lucky in that she sleeps from 7.00pm until 7.00am with very minimal get ups! Though I do think we deserve something positive after everything else!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Yup, sml, we did :-) Banged the boot, opened the door and he didn't wake up, so drove out of the carpark, then thought sod it, I'll wake him up, did, he was happy and a good swim. Glad we did.
Jannine, glad you've finally turned a corner, with your LO. Don't worry about bringing things down on here, sometimes it's quite objectifying to have a mummy with real concerns if we can help with any little things, rather than me grumbling over whether he has a long or a short nap!

Thanks Lazywife! All us mums (and dad's) have real concerns, be that worrying about dummies or having heart surgery! I don't want anybody thinking my worries are any more important!
Talking about worries, struggling with teeth brushing at the moment, any tips to help?
Also this made me laugh this morning so thought I would share. Poppy was in her cot waiting for me to get her up. She could obviously hear me so started shouting, not calling me 'mummy' like normal, but calling me by my first name!! She must have heard hubby calling me and started to copy. Really tickled me!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
