Ooh, just back from Sainsbury's where I got all the bits A needs for the next size
and a load of other bits too
but they had such lovely bits and lots that wasn't pink! And 25% off... Don't think OH is going to be very pleased tho
. LO really does have a fabulous wardrobe!
Yesterday and today we have been super clingy, am hoping it is perhaps the next tooth on its way?
Quite a good night last night, asleep in bed/cot by 7:30, woke at 4:30 and was back in her cot by 5 where she slept until 8. That she went back into her cot makes it a really good night!
Hope everyone is having a lovely day x0 -
does your nursery provide tea nutella? I stupidly haven't asked mine. tbh (first time mum alert!) I didn't know nurseries even did that til a friend mentioned hers does.
Ours does - she has breakfast, hot lunch and hot dinner there as well as a mid-morning snack and sometimes also a mid-afternoon snack if she's hungry. They have their dinner quite early though - at around 4pm - so she has a snack (usually yoghurt and fruit) when she gets home at 6pm to prevent her from waking up hungry in the middle of the night. I know some of the other parents have a second dinner with their LOs when they get home from the nursery, but their LOs go to bed later, plus I really don't think she needs three hot meals plus breakfast and snacks each day, so for us a small snack before bed works well.
So basically, on nursery days, all she has at home is milk in the morning and a snack in the evening. The other nurseries I visited were the same (three meals and two snacks), so I think that's fairly standard.0 -
The two child minders I have found also provide meals. Though the tea is considered a 'light' with one of my child minders and states it's food like toasted muffins and fruit and that this is usually given at 4pm. Which I guess if you're not picking your child up until 6pm (when the close) then by the time you get home etc your child would want a more filling tea so I can understand why it's just something little at 4pm.
I plan to pick my LO up at 4pm or just after with working in a school though both child minders have told me not to rush and that they're more than happy to give my LO a bit of something to eat at 4pm.
Well I had a nice, unexpected day today. Didn't hear back last night to whether work colleagues were meeting today for a picnic, so assumed it wasn't going ahead. Got a txt at 10am saying they were meeting at 11:30am, ha, no chance of me getting to them for that time, it takes 30 mins to drive to the place they were going to anyway.
So decided to give LO lunch at home 1st before going through. Left here just after 12pm, to be honest did debate whether to go or not due to not being involved in the picnic but thought no way am I stopping inside all day in the lovely sunshine so off we went. Didn't get back home till just after 4pm.
Tomorrow I get a whole day to myself though, first time EVER and LO is 6 1/2 months old. My friend is picking up her new car (not brand new) and it's my OH day off so he's having her all day whilst I enjoy a day out with my friend.
OH has only ever had LO for a few hrs like if I'm at the hair dressers or got an appt. Just before Christmas I did walk around a craft event with my friend and OH looked after her, but again it was only for a few hours.
I'm looking forward to a day out where I just have to worry about getting myself ready and taking my phone and purse. But also secretly looking forward to seeing how my OH gets on, hehehehehe.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Our nursery does breakfast, snack, hot lunch, snack and tea. Tea is 345 and is something light like crackers with pate, crumpets, soup, sandwiches. He has a yoghurt when we get home at 545 and sometimes a biscuit or some toast.
Bedtimes, A dropped his lunchtime nap now so goes to bed at 7 and wakes between 6-7. XLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Just dropping cause I have to tell someone I have the offer of a new job, 50% pay increase yay! And eeeek for starting a new job / handing in notice!!0

Congrats on the new job lao-cat!
My 2yr old goes to bed about 7 (although sometimes we hear her chatting in her room for a while after) and gets up about 7.30 usually. She very rarely wakes in the night, only if poorly or once we think she must have had a bad dream because she was very upset but couldn't explain it.
Her nursery also do tea about 4pm but we give her another at home. They have a snack about 10, lunch at 11.30 (always a cooked meal), snack again about 2 and tea at 4 and as others said it tends to be sandwiches/wraps and such things i.e. a light and usually cold meal. We find she happily polishes off another dinner here before bed so go with that.
Sleep is very elusive here atm thanks to the baby. Last night was possibly the worst in his 8 weeks of life!! Up after about an hours sleep 3 times, the longest I got was just over 2. The third time he woke me up I was so tired that he didn't wake me up at first, I just started to have a crying baby in my dream!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
Slimming World ~ trying to get back on the wagon...0 -
It's been a while since I logged in to post, but have been reading along... Baby is ten weeks and growing so fast. Smiling, cooing, beginning to roll and had a few laughs. Had a few long sleeps in last ten days (eg midnight to 6am) and the days we get long sleeps I feel sooo much better! Last night was up three times though! Because it's so varied it's playing havoc with my boobs, when he doesn't wake me up for food in the night I wake up leaky or enormous... Sometimes first thing in the morning I'll feed him on one side and pump the other but it can be painful. I'm guessing it would level out if baby's sleep times were more consistent but any tips to manage it in the meantime?fran-o0

Nutella I start the beginning of June I hope, as I don't have childcare before that!! I have to get the contract and then give a months notice!
Fran-o I think the milk thing settles down eventually I never had much of a prob with engorgement but do you think it would help to wake Lo up at the same time everyday to help get a but of a routine going?0
