Abidec here :) comes in liquid form, I just syringe it in, when I feel his diet is lacking, usually when he's teething or sick. Get them from Boots :) I've heard wellkid are good too.

I was just thinking of you the other day, how are you getting on? How is Noah? X

Thanks, I'm going into town today so I will pick some up. :)

Noah is good thank you, we still have no speech or babbling but I don't let myself feel down about it now because I know he will talk when he's ready. We have also had a diagnosis of autism now which has opened more doors for us as a family and obviously for noah. Generally he Is still a happy 2year old little boy though who has discovered a love for duplo blocks! He will sit all day and build towers, obviously the blocks have to be the same colour for Noah though!! ;) thank you for thinking of us though, I really must find the time to catch up with you all on here.

How is your family? Any thoughts on number 2 yet?!! X

Woad do you have a good baby carrier?

I've got a stretchy wrap which was brilliant when he was small but I haven't used it for quite a while now as he's heavy and he started getting really restless in it because he didn't like being confined.

Maybe I'll look into other types of carriers.

Oh that's another thing I wanted to ask. We use cloth nappies but disposables at night or if we're going out for several hours. Lately we've had lots of leaks from the disposables, wee escaping around the legs but the nappy is nowhere near full and also massive poo explosions that are going up the front somehow? Now in the past few days the cloth seem to be leaking in the same way too.

Has anyone suffered random periods of leaking nappies? Is it just due to change in shape? Also anyone who uses cloth, what would you recommend for when lo goes to childcare? I use prefolds at home and have some all in ones but I want to make it as easy as possible for her and with maximum absorbency.

What age is your lo and what size nappies are you using? I would probably switch to the next size up, or go for the + size for extra absorbency. I've had to switch nappies, because as C got older, he was suddenly waking up wet, and i've found now that the only nappies to really hold well with him are Little Angels. But switching to the next size up is usually what i'd do if it was happening all the time.......x

Yeah at this stage I would say a stretchy is too confining but a soft structure carrier would give him the freedom to move around and he can really see alot from it. Have just ordered a manduca for DH to carry him! If you can get to a sling meet or hire from a sling library that way you can try out a few :)

Nappies can leak depending on size and shape of the baby. With disposables look to try the larger size as suggested above.

With cloth - are you using btp which might need to be let out a popper or two? Otherwise you might need to add boosters (bamboo or hemp seem the popular choices) to absorb the larger wees. Else it might be time for a stripwash.

My little boy wore his first cloth nappy yesterday at 8 weeks old. I don't have enough nappies small enough for him to go full-time until he hits btp sizes. However, having had a girl before I seem to have quite a few pink flowery nappies!

I don't have any experience with disposables, but with cloth either your absorbency is the issue or it is the fit as his shape changes.

When our daughter was in nursery we just used to send her with spare cloth nappies (disposables were provided) and they were would return the cloth nappies as empty as possible in nappy bags each afternoon.

Glad to hear all is going well, and you got a diagnosis. I'm assuming now he has an official diagnosis, you will have a lot more support, for both yourself and Noah :) we are also lovers of Duplo here! He got some for his birthday in January and it's used every single day, it's awesome stuff. We have a Lego store in our nearest big city, and it is amazing, A adores it, and always loads of things to see and do, so maybe worth while seeing if there is one near you?

We are all good, nowhere near having number 2, ATM I'm quite happy with 1, and I can't see that changing any time soon but we'l see :o

We're all good, still not found a house, but I'm sure we'l get there.

Good to see you around anyway, I can imagine it must be hard to get on often when you have 3 to look after!

woad regression lasted 8 weeks for us! !! awful. my little one's trick was mainly to get up for 2 hrs in night just go mess around and babble, then he'd be up anytime after 4am. Our LOs are similar ages, mine is 27 weeks.

Out babies sound so similar. mine only has between 15-25oz a day too. I ruled out a growth spurt as he's not rabidly hungry in the day it's just the evening! It's only been 3 days though so maybe it will pass.

Same with the noisy places for us too. I went to a sure start thing last week and I just wanted out after 5 minutes as he bawled like crazy. He had no interest in any of it yet before this people would comment how placid he was. Not anymore. I can't judge how he is going to be in those situations. If we go to cafes (which are also loud) he's happy. It really does just seem to be play groups with other children/babies! !

I know what you mean about not being yourself too. I've been feeling like that lately. I am so in love with my little boy and wouldn't trade him for all the free time in the world but sometimes I feel like I'm a totally different person.

I miss working so badly sometimes. I miss money, work mates and overtime! I haven't shaved my legs in about a month, I'm porkier than ever, I have about an hour a day with OH before we go to bed shattered! !

At the same time I love being a mum but boy would I love to have a bit of free time just for me! If he didn't get up at 5 I'd get up an hour earlier just to drink coffee and eat toast alone before the day started!

Have you heard of the wonder weeks ? I'm not sure how much of it I believe, but it is definitely worth a google - just searching for the wonder weeks chart and leaps - might shed a bit of light on the changes in mood and sleep patterns of your little one.
I've read most of the book and look at the chart every so often and for my 11 month old, it does ring true sometimes - he can be a right grumpy little one !! A couple of weeks ago my brother and his girlfriend visited, who he has seen many a time, but he wouldn't go near them at all, very odd. This week, we have family visiting who have only seen him a newborn and I expected the same again, however he was as good as gold, enjoyed cuddles and playing - looking back on it now, his grumpiness coincided with an scheduled wonder week 'leap'.

Can I just ask what times your los go to bed and get up?

My LO has been fairly consistent for the past year and a bit - we head upstairs for bath and bed by 6.30pm (in the past we also had milk at that time), so she's usually asleep by 7pm. She wakes up between 5 and 6 (touch wood - we seem to finally be past the 4am wake-ups that we've had for the past year :D). On nursery days, we get home at 6pm, so it's just a quick snack and a story and then upstairs for bath and bed, but she's so tired that it'd be mean to try and keep her awake any later :o
