Today's Dilemma ; Flight from Japan to Australia.
Now I need you all to get your heads together. The proposal is this ;Should I book my flight from Japan to Australia which is on the date I wanted while the cost is a mere £255?Pro's- It's booked ready to go, no worries about "having no money" at the end of what will be a very expensive country.
- Not being hit with a massive flight cost. If I "just wing it" and book it when I am there there is a chance the date I want will be unavailable to fly out on OR it will be three times the price. I wouldn't be able to stay much longer (or wouldn't want to) in this very expensive country if I can't leave on the date I need/want to. Even an extra 5 days will cost a bit of money
- Knowing I can keep on schedule and be in Oz for when I want.
- Planning ahead means less stress when I am there - I can relax a bit.
- I can not book my ferry IN to the country from Shanghai until March. There is only one boat per week on Tuesday's - there is little chance of there not being room BUT if I miss it and my flight OUT is already booked I am missing an entire week in Japan.
- I don't think I can change the flight - if I run out of money or hate the country and want out early it might mean booking a new flight - although £35 extra means you can cancel for ANY reason but you only get 85% of the cost back.
2014/2015 diary purchased from Amazon. need to get dates into the diary I am taking with me.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Indigo - sorry I am being a pleb - what do you mean by "missing family thing" - does that mean you might be missing family too much to go on or you have yet to locate and contact Oz family.
Lilt - you are so very sweet. I hope you are going to follow me on my little path though. It would be cool to have you along for the ride!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. I would book the flight and pay the extra £35 in case you need to cancel, then you always have the ability to get 85% of your money back but you get the flight at a cheaper price.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

It just makes sense in a way doesn't Fmess... although there is always that little bit of me holding back in case everything is a little too planned and not relaxed enough... but being relaxed is not really my style and leaves me anxious.. so perhaps I need to consider booking it.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. On another note I got my hoody today - very pleased! [STRIKE]Although it was £65 it was the one thing (along with my rucksack) that I have no price limit for. This is so important to me - once a hoody is bought it's worn out before it's replaced! So I got a men's Jack Wolfskin Glenwood hoody... big hood, stretchy and very long sleeves, warm but thin and a nice enough colour. Nothing worse than being lumbered with some pink number "just" because I am a girl. So i bought a men's one. LoL![/STRIKE]..........it might have to go back.
I was sat in my pj's last night with wet hair. Somewhere in the house a window was open and the hoody didn't warm me up. I have high expectations for my hoody and needed instant warmth which was not forthcoming. I need one that's padded with fluff I think. Shame.
Who'd have thunk hoody buying could be so perilous. TK Maxx here I come!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Hey Kat - I feel your pain ref hoodiies!! I too always buy mens ones!! Have you an outlet nearby where you could possibly get to A&F? We have one in Ashford nearby... The mens hoody I got from there is incredible and my 'go-to' hoody even as I have dozens. It was also only £35 reduced. Its fluffy inside and with dozens of washes has not yet gone unfluffy! Its super warm, an instant pick me up cutting of cold etc, and it also has very long sleeves so I tie it round my waist when I don't need it and can double knot it no problems! My only issue is it is white and grey and with a small one I have a lot of orange stains to combat!
And I hope you booked the flight!! Course I will be along for the journey. Point me to the blog!! I'm therexx

Japan to Australia is BOOKED! = £276.44 (£35 cancellation / £16 payment fee / £6.56 discount ).. and hey presto my onward journey is booked..
Relief!
2014/2015 diary is also ordered from Amazon. Need to start getting plans into something I will be taking with me. Moleskine - so I know it won't fall apart.
This place.. was located just after I booked a hotel for £46. However - because I am a smarty pants I can cancel the £46 booking any time without incurring a charge. I want to go to this newly located tradition lodgings instead as it's women only, very basic (you sleep on the floor), £6 a night and in a quiet location. It's within distance of the crazy backpackers section of Bangkok but not right outside it. But I like it as it's more traditional and that's why I am going traveling in the first place right..?
As mentioned I am calculating $1000USD a month for each SEA Country.. Accommodation so far would be £490 (including my two week island hop) so if I could knock that down to $435 then all the better..(£13 instead of £46 for the two nights in Bangkok)..
Fingers crossed the owners have availability...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
