    that's the book place.

I woke up this morning in the Conservatory. my room is too much of a mess to sleep in (read that as bed is covered in crap)

The sun was shining and for a minute I ignored my earache and sore throat (made a reappearance this morning) and thought ok. That's great, what a lovely day.

Then I went upstairs. Ugh. I was so pleased with my clothes sorting etc. But it is just so dusty and dirty in there. I can't be positive about it. and I have to go out.

I am making a fuss I know. just tired I think. so tired.

  • I waited till past midnight to post because I really wanted today to be over.

Today was a low point, hopefully the low point.

the day when I saw how much money and time I have wasted in the last few years. The stuff, the gizmos and shiny shiny stuff the toys for the pets, the pets themselves!

I haven't bought decent clothes, shoes or even handbags. I have spent money on tat. Books I won't read, plastic boxes, storage boxes, pretty trays, notebooks. SO many notebooks. Pens. Lip gloss. blankets.

    and lists, so many lists.

Even with paying of my debt the first time round and a strict list of what I spent my loan on this time (garden, car, MA, Vet fees) and having paid off 3400 of it I STILL WILL NOT LEARN. So much waste.

anyhow. 8 charity bags, five bin bags. another night in the conservatory. It is bloody cold out there!!

Should make me learn my lesson. :)

    night all XX

  • That and the photo you take to remind you of what debt fuelled junk looks like. Believe me, there is no one here who hasn't wasted thousands buying rubbish. I think you're doing really well as at least you're shifting it whereas for me, it will be my life's mission as I didn't just buy for me but for others leaving here who are hoarders in training. Like you say, life gets better by change and you're making major changes with your current activities.

Thank you. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that.

  • Just dropped in to see how you were and, omg, what would Freud make of me? When I said leaving here it should have been living here!

INOD is so right Buffy. In a perfect world we would just buy what we needed and have that "capsule wardrobe" of just a few items that mix and match. In the real world we have a wardrobe full of random tat that doesn't even mix let alone match. Like you if I added up how much I've wasted on "stuff" I'd be mortified. All you can do is try and make small changes step by step until you're closer to achieving your aim. Don't forget no one is perfect.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Starving!! so this is quick.

really thank you SA and INOD, thank you thank you XXX

I took yesterday off and met a friend for lunch

£6.90 for a jacket potato and ginger beer YIKES!

but I did only go into Primark(!) :D:D and spent 36 pounds,
    One work skirt (grey)
    2 pairs of leggings
    one summer skirt
    dog blanket
    hair ties
    face wipes
    t shirt dress

Currently I can't afford to shop anywhere else! and have banned myself from buying anything decent till I lose weight.

Generally I felt much better in myself although the earache was rubbish! and really hurt this morning.

today I need food and then a few decisions must be made. Am so impressed SA that you have decorated! I have yet to get the enthusiasm up!
