Yo yo Buffy xxxxxx (new thing - lets go bit Beastie Boys?? No. Not pulling it off. Visions of me and you in shades with ENORMOUS trainees (scouse for trainers))
Have you got some time off over Easter?? As in - time off. Not as in 'days where I'm not in work, but need to do 12 million other bits, include get life in order'.
Just days were you give yourself permish to do NAFF ALL, only what you enjoy doing??
Now - creatively, what makes you tick Buffster? I know you like some good TV progs and also your Hitchcock films. Thats a bloody good start. Or do you like going to an exhibition?
I could verge on the annoying Girl Guide Badge in Extra Whiteneing Enthusiasm but you know what I mean.
Any chance of you grabbing some days to just chill out, nap, watch a film, go back to bed?

Such a lovely post Slinky thank you for taking the time XXX too kind. And the extra whitening enthusiasm made me laugh. Also so true when you said about "12 million other bits"
Re what makes me tick, sleep at the moment! I really want a straightened out room! has been rubbish for about 4 years now as I look back, not constantly all the time but long periods particularly when work is tough and of course in most people's lives they have a house or flat to spread out into or have a couple of rooms tidy and one room a dumping ground. Thing is my room is my home. my base of operations! so using it as a dumping room is rubbish. I have made massive inroads re the rest of the house. Spare room and conservatory are both useable now. SO I must keep going. I really want to be writing to you all from my desk in my room
Yesterday was a sort of a day where I did nothing, I went to the nursery and bought plants (!! yes I am going to grow stuff) and of course guinea pig bedding!! I must say I felt a bit rough - ear ache and sore throat, so spent the afternoon with Mum watching tv, then I was off out to dinner with my good friend which was lovely. she is a v good friend.
Today I do still feel a bit ropey. but actually it isn't getting any worse. I want to start on the room of doom. David Williams - (that so isn't how you spell his name) is SO funny - am watching the news again. I never used to like him when he was in that comedy show Little Britain? but these days I think he is very entertaining. Between this last comment and going to the nursery I feel about 80!!!

I need shoes too! ::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Me too
You can tell you are my friends! Concerning obsession with shoes!
My boots - which I bought in New Look for 1/2 price have sprung a leak.
My work shoes have sprung a leak.
I am going to a wedding on Friday and have 3 dress options. No shoe options.
It's a problem.
A nice problem tho. Must have some uncomfortable shoes somewhere for the wedding.

I have shoes. I'm waiting for my dodgey knee to fully recover from its January surgery to be able to wear my shoes. I will then have a ceremonial burning of the trainers that have been a permanent fixture since last mayMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I'm not a "shoe" person - don't get me wrong, I wear them but I hate buying them.....blugh....same with handbags - I use one and replace it when it's falling to bits but I lack the gene that makes these things desirable. I'm a bit of a let down to the female race.
How's the room sorting going? Any progress? How about a little incentive here....maybe a when it's done I send you something pretty to hang on your wall (that sounds really dodgy but you know what I mean)......"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Me and OH recently had the shoe related discussion when he was looking in my carboot and found 8 pairs of black shoes and boots. He just couldn't understand that a need could exist. Btw, they weren't new ones waiting for the dash into the house, just ones I change into post driving places. Apparently it's difficult to see why so many of the same colour are required. To me, this is what defines the population into Imeldas and non Imeldas. I'm firmly in the Imelda camp. I've even been known to remove shoes from their storage boxes just to admire them.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. In theory I should be an Imelda, I have many shoes but hardly wear any now, my job means I am on my feet so have joined the flatties brigade makes me sad.
Today's job is the room, more rubbish(tat, not actual in the bin stuff) removal and a wardrobe and chest of drawers clear out. I have many tatty clothes and knackered items.
however getting dressed is the first thing!!
(have you read what Mr Bloater did to the shed! it sound so good! v inspiring)

I love shoes and handbags. My feet don't like the same shoes I do though. I have a lot of handbags instead as they don't need to fit properly! I have got to the stage where I can only wear shoes with clumpy heels as I walk too fast for dainty ones and high heels hurt too much. What happened to the days when I sacrificed comfort for fashion! Sigh!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
