Yay time2deal! So happy you got to see your little bean and their heartbeat, its a beautiful feeling x0

Oh ladies. You are all so sweet.
Making me well up! (hormones possibly be helping there too.)
In other good news, DH got his Aussie visa today. We can't move back right now due to bean, but he is heading of for a 2 week holiday by himself now to activate it. Hopefully all three (!!) of us will be heading back permanently by the end of the year.0 -
Oh girls, someone give me a kick up the bum
really need to buck up a bit! Been feeling utterly rotten the last few days. I have pretty much been in bed since Saturday...if not bed, then the sofa. Haven't left the house. I feel so sick and up until about lunchtime, I can't keep anything down - even water. Then after midday I am ravenous and eat everything in sight and the only way to feel any relief from the nausea for a few mins is eating. I feel utterly exhausted, to the point that even walking up the stairs makes me feel light headed and dizzy.
Luckily it is half term, but really I need to get going as I have eye watering amounts of marking to do. The thought of trying to focus on anything like that makes my head spin! I have just been spending all my time in bed watching my Buffy marathon. The thought of work next week is terrifying.
Feel so fed up. Sick and tired of feeling sick and tired! Hormones all over the place, really emotional. Terrible wind...feel fat and bloated...so unattractive, I never want to be seen in public again! Every time I moan (which is a lot, I have to admit!) husband is all reproachful and says 'but you are growing our little bean' as if I should just be thrilled and graciously accepting of feeling crap all the time. Which I probably should be. Of course I am happy to be pregnant and realise how lucky I am. I just feel completely out of control of my body and I can't remember how it feels to not feel terrible!
Oh sorry, what a rant. You must all be sick of me as all I ever seem to do is moan! Need a kick up the backside. If nothing else, I must do some work0 -
Sending you a kick.. with a supplementary hug.
Hope you feel better soon! It will be worth it, but I understand the need to whinge from time to time. I want this more than anything, but the odd bit of nausea I have had isn't nice. And my boobs are giving me horrific shooting pains the last two days. Like they are in a vice - makes me catch my breath they hurt so much.
I read somewhere that your body is adjusting to the 'hormone free-for-all' which sounds about right.I guess we are suddenly just incubators, so your biology only focuses on what the baby needs.

ThanksI have had a shower, about to get dressed and my grandparents are bringing me home made vegetable soup in a little while. Commence operation pull self together! After they have gone I AM going to mark 10 essays; I think I will feel better to at least have made a start.
I can do this!0 -
I think you should go out Daisy. I spent the weekend at home and felt bad after, but back to work this week and with a little weak sunlight I feel better. Even some fresh air in the garden may help.0

Thanks so much for all the well wishes. I had my scan this morning and pleased to say that we saw a little jelly bean with a good heart beat. She put me at 8+2 which is only a day behind what I thought so that's good. They couldn't see any reason for the bleeding but they said it could be just things settling down or it cold be coming from my cervix which is apparently more sensitive especially as I had a LLETZ about 10 years ago. I have my booking in appointment tomorrow so I will ask more questions then.
Mrs_I so pleased you are going OK and getting excited now.
Rosebud24 Welcome and congrats on your BFP
time2deal so pleased that your scan went well. I know what you mean about not wanting to celebrate whilst in the EPU.
daisiegg Hugs for feeling rough, it's hard being preggers!0 -
Yay Laila! Its such a relief to see that little heartbeat.
have they said they will do anything special due to the LLETZ? I had surgery which is like a massive LLETZ (much bigger) and have basically no cervix so I will need a stitch put in. Have they said anything like that for you?
As far as I can work out, the stitch is like tying a hairband around the bottom of the womb. Not looking forward to it, but I hope they do do it, otherwise I'll worry even more than normal.0
