    Hi ladies

just popping in to say good luck T2D and LailaP tomorrow I'll definitely be lurking for news x

    Hugs to all x
  • Thank you everyone for their kind thoughts and best wishes after our scan on Friday - it's certainly been a weight lifted! Daisiegg, as you say, the midwife should never have worried us like that but on the plus side, we've had the opportunity to check that little one is alright. :) Now feeling better now our immediate family and close friends know after telling them all this weekend, it's making it feel a bit more real and I'm feeling myself get a bit more excited than I was. I'm meant to be 12w 3d now, but am holding off moving on to the next thread until we've had our 12 week scan on Friday morning. :)

Laila & mdhughes03 - how is the spotting for you guys? I will be thinking of you this morning at your scan, Laila.

chickpea, I've been getting irritated with my hubby too with his "affection". :p It's lovely, don't get me wrong, but he is beginning to learn that it's sometimes too much and I just need space!! Mind you, I've been getting irritated with a lot of things which I was just putting down to hormones.

Bluebell, how are you and the family after V Day? I really hope you're all on the way back up.

Daisiegg, very glad to hear you're taking it easy on your half term. Yes, you may "just pregnant" (where's the eye roll icon...) but you are growing a human! Just make the most of the opportunity this week to have a really good relax - goodness knows you've earned it! How's your allergic reactions? I hope they've settled down or if not you've managed to speak to a doctor re: getting some medication you can take whilst pregnant!

Alipops, so chuffed to see your scan went well! :T I think we may very well be due on the same day if our most recent scan is anything to go by!

Time2Deal - I know the feeling re: the nausea! I had nothing for so long but then in the last few weeks it's finally been starting to hit me - brushing my teeth, random smells, fatty foods all seem to set me off and make me either retch or feel decidedly dodgy. Who knew we'd feel so pleased to feel so rubbish!? :D Best of luck for today, will be thinking of you.

Peonie, how are you doing after your pain the other day? I hope it's all settled down a bit. I'm not an IVF-er, but I will be taking aspirin after 12 weeks on the midwife's advice to help reduce risks of pre-eclampsia.

    Thinking of T2D today x
    2 angels in heaven :A
  • Hi all, I have just found this thread. I'm 9+2 today (I think) and very excited! Everything has been pretty normal for me so far - sore breasts, nausea (but thankfully no vomiting), and 'OMG I can't even complete a sentence' tiredness!

I have also been having cravings for ice cream and, more annoying, cider! Obviously I haven't given into the latter! I went to Tesco yesterday and stocked up on some nice apple juice instead. I was a bit miserable as I was exhausted and everywhere I turned I seemed to be seeing things that are off-limits (the cheese aisle was the worst), then at the till I was handed a money-off voucher with my receipt... for cider! How long until the Clubcard elves analyse my buying habits and work out I'm pregnant, I wonder.

Daisiegg, sorry to hear about your allergies. Last summer I had hay fever and as I was TTC my Dr had said no antihistamines (just in case). He prescribed me a different nasal spray instead, and it was really effective. Might be worth asking your GP about.

    Morning ladies.

Scan done, and we saw a perfect little bean, with a beating heart. So lovely to see. She showed me then turned the screen back, and I felt like saying 'noooo... let me keep staring!!'. The heart isn't just a flicker, you can see it whooshing a bit, like the blood moving around.

He/she is 8mm, which puts me back a day or two (to 6+5), but the term before 12 weeks is a bit of a guesstimate she said so not to worry.

It's amazing there is a functional heart so soon really. Just lovely to see and such a relief. Big smile as we left, but I was conscious in the EPU that the news is not always good so we kept a bit more subdued as we walked out. It's starting to feel like this is really real though... so impossible to believe after almost 4 years trying!

LailaP, thinking of you too, and hope you get a good result too.
