Sorry to hear you are still spotting peonie - must be really worrying.
On the plus side I've read that brown blood is generally ok and when you say spotting it sounds relatively light?Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
It is light when it happens. I really think the NHS need to change their website. It practically says if you bleed - at all - it's not looking good. Talk about adding to the stress.

Glad your appt went ok Daisiegg.
I will be glad when my 1st one is over next week. From what you said I would be classed as high risk. Hopefully continuing with SW whilst pregnant I will limit the weight gain.

Really glad to hear your appointment went well, Daisiegg! If it's any consolation, I didn't have a huge urge to read all the paperwork I was given straight away either, ended up working through it the following Saturday morning in bed with hubby. I am surprised that Friday morning is the *only* time their clinic runs, but hey, if they say it is, so be it. I know it feels awful to keep needing time off for appointments, especially as we have it drummed into us so much that it's frowned upon to have appointments during work hours, etc, but needs must!
Peonie, I completely agree about the NHS website and their lack of advice on bleeding/spotting - talk about making you feel even worse! Brown spotting they tend not to worry about, as it is considered old blood, and they really don't worry about it if you're not having any pain. Give your clinic a ring to help put your mind at ease? As a frequent brown spotter (okay, that sounds weird) I know it's hard to relax and not worry about it, especially when at work! Try and focus on other things tonight to distract yourself - DVDs, TV, read a good book, etc. It helps for a little while to not dwell on it.
I am getting a bit apprehensive about my "emergency" scan tomorrow morning. Trying not to, but it's hard!

Good luck with your scan, Miss I. We will all be thinking of you. I'm sure it is unnecessary and you will find everything is ok as it was last time.
I think the clinic is only on a Friday morning because the midwives cover a big area, so I guess on other days they are in different villages.0 -
I had very light brown spotting again this morning. This might just be what happens to me. I wish it didn't though. My boobs are still tender so that's a good sign. I've booked myself in to see the counsellor before next weeks scan.
She really helped me on Friday so I hope she helps you too. I love her. Seriously. I'm keeping all my good vibes firmly aimed at you three...0 -
Evening Ladies
Peonie My GP told me on my first appointment that any brown blood or spotting is generally OK and even proper bleeding doesn't always mean bad. I haven't had any myself but can imagine you must be worried so sending hugs xx
Miss_Imaginative Hope you are doing OK and good luck for your scan tomorrow, will be thinking of you and sending positive vibes your way...which by the way I think work because I sent daisiegg positive vibes and she got a BFP lol
daisiegg glad your appointment went OK, I've got mine on Thursday so looking forward to that.
I've been feeling pretty terrible with the sickness (although only actually thrown up on 1 day) but I feel so drained. If I sit on the sofa doing nothing I start to feel better but then when I get up I feel like I am going to pass out. I think I might have to tell my boss tomorrow because I am really struggling with work. When does the blooming start? :rotfl: I am anything but blooming right now0 -

I believe 'blooming' is a lie. I got told regularly in my last pg that I was blooming, when I actually felt tired, achy and like I'd swallowed a giant saucepan. :rotfl:
One of my colleagues (who didn't know) told me I looked 'blooming' yesterday. Had to own up to brewing another small person as I just couldn't keep a straight face when he said it!
This evening DS had a major vomiting session at bedtime. Had to leave DH to deal with some of it as I started retching (not quite sick at least). Yuck, it was horrible. Wondering if DS really DID eat the playdough made from cornflour and hair conditioner at the childminders - I thought I saw him pop a bit in his mouth when we were collecting him this evening. Anyway finally got him off to sleep now, so hopefully tonight won't be too disturbed...
Good luck for tomorrow Mrs_I x0 -
Bluebell1000 lol at swallowing a giant saucepan. I am 100% certain that I don't look blooming. I can't remember the last time I brushed my hair and I've forgotten what makeup is.
Hope your DS is better tomorrow and I don't blame you for making DH deal with the sick.
We had someone come to value the house today (got to move as we are only in a 1 bed) and it was the biggest effort to run the hoover round, I swear it almost killed me and just as I finished the dog decided to throw up on the carpet! Hubby was at work so I had to deal with it and that was not fun!
Apart from the 1 time, all I seem to do is retch but I wonder if I would feel better if I was properly sick, it might give me some relief if even only for a bit.0 -
Hey ladies, I'm over in the 12-24 week thread and just wanted to add I'm another who had recurrent spotting (brown, pink, red, a couple of clots). I can't reassure you other than to add that it does seem very common. And yes the NHS website should reflect what their staff say!
The last time was the day of my 12 week scan. All was fine at the scan.
I'm now 20+5 and (fingers crossed) haven't bled since... Though I haven't stopped checking the toilet paper!
However I have read very widely and have agreed with some literature I've read that the spotting I had at my 12week scan led to odd blood test results.. Or the other way around! I do wish that was mentioned by the staff as well... But as in England they don't record incidents of spotting they can't correlate.
Hope you all stay well xPlease forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0
