So what is everyone doing for Valentine's day? We are being very boring and staying in...hubby just got back from the US early this morning and went straight to work so he is likely to be as knackered as me. We were meant to be going to a gig but had to sell the tickets...,no way could I cope with an evening of progressive metal at the moment!
I may cook if I feel up to it but even that is not definite...oh dear! Still, I have got him a card and nice chocolates and cufflinks. I suppose I ought to shave my legs in honour of the day:rotfl:

We are having a meal at home for Valentine's day, I am eating gluten free until the baby comes (eeek!) and it's hard to do that in the restaurants around here.
I am looking forward to telling people after my scan on 20th, I am really starting to show and it's getting harder and harder to hide!
I told the receptionist at the office yesterday, who said she was wondering after she had noticed my bump!0 -
Welcome mdhughes.
Not much planned here, Chinese and quiet night I think. Nausea a bit worse last couple of days so thought of going out doesn't particularly appeal!
Got card and a chocolate heart for hubby just waiting for him to get home.Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
Hi ladies, I'm going to have to move up a thread. I had my 12 week scan today and saw the little bean, they have measured me at 12w5d and all is well. It was so much fun but bean wasn't very co operative for the pictures and had to be coaxed to look the right way.!!!!!
Any name - I am coeliac so eat gluten free all the time, cafe rouge, Jamie's Italian, prezzo all have gluten free pasta dishes.pizza hut, dominos, and pizza express all offer gluten free pizza options. There are lots of gluten free places to eat out. Also giraffe, wagamamas, las iguanas to name but a few. Hope this helps and you may find some of these where you live.No purchasing unnecessary toiletries

Gem I might start stalking you for coeliac ideas! I am hopefully moving onto the next thread next week.
My mum was diagnosed last year, and I have had a lot of the symptoms. As unmanaged coeliacs can cause miscarriages (I have had three) I am with my GPs blessing avoiding all gluten until it's safe for me to eat it and be tested. Do all branches of those places offer the gluten free options, or is it just selected branches do you know?0 -
Ladies please help/advise me. This is my 5th pregnancy and will be my 5th c-section. I am somewhere between 10+1 and 11+4 and hav my 12 week scan on 26th this month. The problem is this....... I started to feel light headed just before I found out I was pregnant, this has got worse each week to the point i have spent the past 3 weeks on the sofa only getting up to go to the toilet/wash etc and sometimes need help doing that. If i stand for more than a minute i get so light headed i feel like im going to pass out and very sick. I have just brushed my teeth which has resulted in me almost fainting and being sick 3 times whilst recovering. I am in constant pain and sickness all day long (the pregnancy seems to have triggered my sunusitis which is giving me very bad headaches and nose pains to the left side of my head).
This is really affecting my life now, im unable to be a proper mum, my older daughter is having to take my younger one to school for me and my husband is having to work full time then cook and clean when he gets home. Ive not managed to see dr yet because i really cant make it there and husband works shifts but tbh our dr is pretty rubbish.
Ive never had sickness like this in pregnancy before never this bad and never not been able to stand like this, i cant imagine going another 29 weeks like this, its already making me depressed, im in constant pain and sickness. Has anyone had this before, is it normal or is something wrong?0 -
Have succumbed and bought some mat pants. My leggings felt like a garote today! They're pretty comfy. I've spent the day out with oh going to our first date location and for a nice sandwich (which is all i seem to want at the mo!).
Blood pressure ramped right up when I came back home to have brothers stupid dog launch itself like a rocket at my bo.ob. They've been killing for weeks so I completely lost it and threatened the stupid mutt- it was that or cry!. Cue his girlfriend telling me that I shouldn't speak to the dog that way and there's no need to be mean. Mum then jumped in and called me hormonal. Seriously not impressed and quite amazed at my restraint. It's taken years to get this far. If they think I will tolerate a massive dog jumping at me when I have a bump or baby in my arms they are very much deluded- and I really don't think thats unreasonable or hormonal.... I love animals but this one I could cheerfully euthanase! It is the most stupid, spoilt, naughty and disobidient mutt i've ever come across. *rant over*0 -
Sorry you're having such a rough time teabag. This my first so I can't help you with regard to normal. It doesn't sound like what's normal for you though. Know you've said it's difficult to get to your gp but that or your local early pregnancy unit are my only suggestions. Definitely sounds like you need medical advice.0

All of the branches offer these and the pizza places deliver also!!! Feel free to ask away, I've spent 10 years managing coeliac and its so much easier now to eat out. Some have a dedicated menu others will fully advise you on what they can substitute. i went to jamies itallian the other day and there were superb. There is no excuses for you not to be taken out for dinner now. :TNo purchasing unnecessary toiletries

teabag, sorry I can't help either. It sounds like you need your OH to take you to A&E if you can't get to the doctors.
