More spotting today, a small amount of red blood and brown clots:(. Hate this not knowing period, know there's nothing I can find out until the early scan on the 24th. Trying not to freak out but spending a lot of time convinced that when I go for the scan nothing is going to be there. Just need to keep telling myself to stay positive and that if something bad is happening, there's nothing I can do about it so worrying is futileRemember to always be yourself-unless you suck. Hi mdhughes, at 11 weeks I started bleeding a lot of red blood with a couple of small clots. I was devastated but waited until the next morning to see if I was still bleeding. I was and it was still a lot of red so I went to the docs who referred me to the hospital because even though the internal checks she did were ok I was still bleeding. They scanned me at the hospital and there was a beautiful baby with a strong heartbeat
. They found the blood wasn't coming from anywhere important and said it could have been due to infection or lifting. I knew then it was down to lifting cause I hadn't been taking it easy! The bleeding died down and I had brown for about a week but its stopped again now. I don't lift heavy things anymore!! I would definitely go and get yourself checked but just to say that you can bleed heavily and everything still be hunky dory with little baby. Good luck, thinking of you x

Thanks so much for your reply, I have lifted a couple of things I shouldn't have so it's probably that!
Laila P, very selfish of me not to have replied to you- I hope you can find comfort, like I have, that there are others of us in the same boat as you, stuck in limbo and waiting for good news xxRemember to always be yourself-unless you suck. Joss Whedon0 -

Not at all, got my fingers crossed for you and everyone else who is experiencing this.
On the positive side, I've not had any more spotting today and I hope it stays away. Just got to wait till Monday!0 -
Afternoon Ladies.
My memory is rubbish with names, but I've got my fingers crossed for anyone who is experiencing worries/bleeding.
I returned to work for Thursday and Friday, finally got rid of my cold - phew! Felt really good for those two days, nausea seems to have passed.
Then, this morning I woke up with a really nagging headache but didn't want to take any paracetomol, as I took some for my cold. Anyhow, I've just been to bed for a sleep for 1.5hrs and my head is feeling better. Just having a large drink of orange squash, some grapes and 2 paracetomols.
My lovely husband is taking me out to an Indian restaurant tonight as part of our valentine's day yesterday, so I really want to feel well as I feel at the moment all I do is moan about how rubbish I feel!!
Alipops xx
PS: Our 12 week scan is on Monday morning, which we're both very excited about!! 2 more sleeps x0 -
Just a quick one as we're down south visiting family and telling them our news. Our EPAC scan yesterday went wonderfully - one very happy, active little baby in there who was wriggling and kicking and all sorts! Really wonderful to see.
Hard to date due to the wriggling but it's approximately 11w 6d today - but we will have a more accurate date at the dating scan this coming Friday. Doctor spotted a shadow (well away from the baby), which he thinks was the cause of the bleeding/spotting I've been having - it may have been a haemorrhage, another sac (so twins! :T) or many other things. Either way the shadow appears to be reducing and may even be gone by the scan next week - so the doctor was very very positive.
Laila, how are you doing? Has the spotting/bleeding settled down now? Hope you take it easy and have a relaxing weekend.
Hope everyone else is having a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Hi Mrs_I
So glad your scan went well and it's positive news.
I'm doing OK, I had a bit more spotting this afternoon but it seems to have stopped again. I'm trying really hard to remain positive, both my mum and MIL have told me it's quite common. I just feel like monday is miles away and I really hope they do send me for a scan as I feel that is the only thing that will put my mind at rest. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow so my 12 week scan is not for ages.0 -
Oh Mrs I so pleased your scan went well! That midwife earlier in the week never should have worried you like that. Oh I am thrilled for you!0

Mrs I glad to hear scan went well - great news. Funny to think there is wriggling going on in there when you can't feel it!
Laila and mdhughes hope spotting dies down and you get a scan Monday Laila.
Afm nausea gone away today yippee! Can't find anything I enjoy drinking juice wise right now tho and gone right off tea!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
My poor hubby, every time I go to the loo and find any kind of spotting I am in floods of tears, I'm sure he thinks I've lost it. I am really worried but know there is no point going for a scan until the 24th as the likelihood of being able to see anything so early (in theory I'm 6+1 but y cycle was so long it could just be 5) is so small, and it would probably only stress me out more! I am worried that I haven't really got any pregnancy symptoms really-never thought I would long for morning sickness!!
hugs to everyone who needs them xxRemember to always be yourself-unless you suck. Joss Whedon0
