Penguin glad to hear your scan went well! It's so unreal how quickly they grow.

Snow glad your midwife appointment went well.

Cats thanks for the heads up. I haven't noticed much changes bar stomach being a lot less flat, so hoping I can stretch this out as long as possible.

I can't just remember who said they started struggling with eating at night, snow was it you? but I'm feeling your pain now haha!! I can eat but only a small portion arghh! shreddies luckily are still my friend for breakfast. Lunches I'm struggling with as I just don't 'fancy' eating anything. Defiantly no food cravings here but food aversions 100%!! Not eating loads and what I am is mainly healthy but still somehow have managed to put weight on

  • newthrift yes it was me! I think I'm back up to around 75% of usual calories now (was more like 50% last week and earlier) but I can only eat about a third of what I would have had before at dinner time. Trying to make up for it by introducing an afternoon snack. Lunch and breakfast I am almost back to usual portions. Taking it one day at a time - I'm now feeling hunger again to a certain degree and overdid it on Monday and felt terrible so back to building up slowly...

Yes I hate when you feel a bit over confident in feeling better and soon regret it by pushing a little too far. Such a delicate balance. DH is being quite sympathetic (all be it cheeky :) ) he keeps saying he hopes its twins (there is a slight chance as they run on both sides) but I still think there is just one In there.
Uterus has had a bit of a growth spurt and I can feel it more in my 'tummy' area. I'm actually really excited to get my proper bump!

Definitely New, I can't wait for a bump to appear.

Finding myself getting really emotional just now, the smallest and strangest things seem to set me off. Was driving home from work the other day and I had Defying Gravity playing, now this is a song I love and not once have I cried at it before but I found myself struggling to hold back the tears. I was sat at the traffic lights trying to will myself not to cry. Children in need tonight is just one massive crying episode. I don't like not being able to control my emotions.

Anyways scan is on Tuesday so I'm excited for that, no doubt I'll cry for that too:rotfl: but it's a bit more acceptable I guess than crying st Defying Gravity. Definitely think it'll start feeling like properly real. I just don't know how I'll be able to contain myself and not tell anyone when I get back to work.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
We met up with one of my relatives yesterday who knows about our previous miscarriages and she told us they are expecting their 2nd baby next May time. I'm so excited for her but she was so worried about upsetting us as she said she knows how hard it is to be on the otherside when your trying (I can't wait til I can tell her). Plus she is approx 6weeks ahead of me so will be nice to have someone close going through it at same time.
April hope your scan goes well tomorrow.

Weather sounds awful outside, think it's a day to wrap up well!!!

  • Aww Newthrift, how lovely that you've got your family member to go through this with!

April, good luck for the scan tomorrow!

Ours is Wednesday and I am crazy excited. I can't wait to finally be able to see the little one! Then, we're telling our daughter on Thursday. My OH is going to have to make sure he's standing between us because she's going to get so excited that I can just imagine her launching herself at me! :rotfl:

We then need to make sure that she doesn't tell ANYONE as we can't tell my parents for another few weeks :o:(

The sickness and strong sense of smell has kicked in for me today (6+2). I've had the odd bit of nausea but this is a little bit worse and has lasted all day so far. The dishwasher smell made me gag today!

It's early enough that I'm still welcoming any symptom that indicates I'm still pregnant! Early scan is a week on Thursday so I'm hoping to see a heartbeat then, and I'll tell close family.

Still lots of work Christmas party alcohol chat - I'm taking this to mean that no one has guessed yet!

Oh gosh, you are following my pattern - just over 6 weeks was when it got really bad for me. Came home to freshly cleaned kitchen and had to get hubby to open all the windows and wipe the worktops down with plain water because I was gagging at the smell of disinfectant that has never bothered me before. And he couldn't smell it. And I went out to eat (luckily with a good friend who was in on the secret) and really struggled with food smells in the restaurant. It does seem to be easing off now at 9.5 weeks but then last night I felt funny and had to throw up unexpectedly so I just can't work it out!! Fingers crossed you don't get it as bad as I have x
