I know you've had it much worse Snow, but hopefully you might follow my pattern - currently at 10.5 weeks, and have no symptoms at all - keep forgetting I'm pregnant, in fact. Bit weird!
Had a bit of of a chat with our neighbours re planned extensions yesterday, and they are planning to get going with the bulk of their work done next summer, right when I'm due  They aren't really willing to change their timescale, but they did say that if it becomes too much, that I can scream at them to stop, and they will (prob helps that she's got a 1 year old at the moment). Really bl**dy awful timing though, so now we're just hoping that their planning permission takes ages longer than they expect...
Ratison - gosh, is there even a heartbeat that early? Good luck with it all anyway
Hope everyone else's scans go well - I'm just jealous at the moment, as mine isn't even booked yet0 -
I'm 11 weeks today and, as long as I eat something at least every two hours (my OH just laughs at me now
) then I don't have much in the way of symptoms either.
The tenderness in my breasts had gone for a week or two there, but has come back again - last night, the duvet grazed my nipples and I thought I was going to hit the roof!
Also, does anyone else feel like they're on fire in bed? He comes in from work late and most of the time I'm already in bed. He'll pull me over onto his side to steal my heat and sometimes I'm actually too hot to touchEven my daughter says I'm too hot to lie next to when she sneaks in sometimes (which doesn't help, btw with more bodyheat in the bed!).

Firebird I'll be 7+5 when I have the scan, so yes. Apparently you can see heartbeats on scans from around 5 weeks, but I think you have to have an internal one at that stage.
Terrible timing for you with the neighbours doing their extension. Let's hope you have a good sleeper!0 -
Hope your scan goes well today April0

Thanks guys. Scan went well which was a massive relief. Been up since 1, as I was so worried about it. Buy yeah it went well. Can't stop smiling. Due date got pushed back to the 3rd June which seems like ages away, only 4/5 days later then what my midwife gave me. Already booked my sexing scan so can't wait for that. Consultant appt went fine, she's going to book me in for a genetic screening and if everything goes well I hopefully wont see her again.
Firebird fingers crossed the extension won't be too bad/long.
Good luck to all those who have their scan in the coming week/s.
Will probably move over to the 12-24 weeks thread, will still lurk see how everyone is getting on, and hopefully see you all over there soon0 -
Really glad it went well, April, how exciting
Must feel like a big difference if your due 'month' has changed!
Firebird, that's frustrating about the extension, but at least your neighbours sound reasonable so hopefully won't be too bad. Aside from a bit of nausea/hunger, I'm feeling fine and remarkably un-pregnant too at nearly 12 weeks. Looking forward to scan on Thursday to check there's somebody in there!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Hi everyone, am moving over to this thread since BFP last Saturday. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow, bit happy, bit nervous, bit disbelieving.
Apparently I have to see the GP in 2 weeks time, before they refer me onto the midwife. I think there goes my hope of a booking in appointment before xmas (week 10). Which is quite annoying as there's xmas first, and I'd love to spill the beans then!0 -
Congratulations Cherry, and welcome! Interesting that you go via the GP - I hadn't realised until I was on here how much the process varies from region to region! (my booking appointment is next week, at 11+6, so hopefully scan before Xmas! We've told all the family anyway though
).

Cherry - just delurking to say they wouldn't have done anything significant to "prove" the pregnancy at booking in anyway, they just take a lot of info and do some initial blood tests. So if you were willing to tell before your scan it doesn't really matter whether you've had booking in or not.
You could always have a private scan if you wanted reassurance to be able to tell people - we had one at 8 weeks and there was a little lump with a heartbeat! However we still didn't tell til after dating scan and combined test results, so about 14 weeks in the end.
Congrats and hoping for a happy healthy 8 months - as you're already 1 in!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Thanks Firebird - hope you get your scan when you want it!
Thanks Cats - that's really useful to know about the booking in and the scan. The private scan is another good option to have, otherwise we are choosing between making some unbelievable excuse about not drinking, or just being honest with everyone that it's 'early days'. All the grownups will understand that, if we pick our moment to be out of earshot of tinies.0
