Firebird I think the Bounty pack is a pack with maybe samples i.e nappies and vouchers if I remember correctly. I'm sure that's what was in my sisters a few years back.
Ahhh - I was assuming it would be useful information about birthing choices and stuff like that so I can talk sensibly about them at the booking appt! (I had a look at the options recently and can't get my head around the birthing unit at each of our nearby hospitals each have ONLY 4 rooms, and 1 birthing pool! How can that possibly cope with the number of births?!). Maybe 95% of people go to the labour ward?0 -

Apparently there is more than one type of Bounty Pack Firebird.
I don't really know how the whole birthing unit/maternity ward works, but I know ours is looking to have a new unit open with more staff which means the birthing pool will be open by that time. It probably be best to speak to your midwife.0 -
D'oh, could have google that for myself! Thanks April
(will have to have a loo later - page blocked as 'sex ed' at work :rotfl:)

My morning sickness seems to be starting to subside. I've had more of an appetite and been able to keep down bigger portions. Since we raised the bed and I started having lower acidity foods the heartburn has also improved. So now it seems just to be indigestion (very gassy in my oesophagus) but that is somewhat manageable if a little uncomfortable and awkward. Thank goodness for that as I was starting to get so fed up. Been managing to eat almost normal amounts this weekend and today albeit still in smaller portions spaced out through the day and I haven't lost any more weight. So relieved!!
My midwife checking in appointment is this Wednesday. My sister has swapped around her shifts at work so she can join me and then go shopping together afterwards (will need to take the whole afternoon off work as I work an hour's drive away) so looking forward to that. Will break the week up! Going to spin it at work as a normal doctor's appointment as I'm self-employed so trying to keep my pregnancy a secret as long as possible in the hope that they will continue to extend my contract and I don't have to go job hunting with a time limit...
In other news, I'm really starting to struggle with trouser waistbands. Until now it was just in the evening (presumably all bloat!) but now I'm finding it's uncomfortable all day when sitting down (OK when standing up). I've ordered a bump band in the hope that will save me from having to look at maternity wear at such an early stage... hopefully that will do the trick and I can leave my trousers undone with no fear of anyone noticing or them falling down. Really hoping it's not too big for my non-existent bump and can cover this awkward stage. Bigger non-maternity trousers would probably look huge on my legs so would prefer not to go that route. Anyone else had this issue? Wishing I had more work dresses but lacking the energy to go looking for any.Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.

Glad things are improving for you Snowscreamer
I've noticed trousers feeling a bit tighter this week (9+3) - but that could equally mean I've just washed them at a hotter temperature and they've shrunk a bit! (or I've just eaten too much chocolate). Assuming I won't need any actual maternity wear until after Xmas (sales and ebay
).

I'm ridiculously excited for scan on Thursday. Have told a few people now, as had a training thing today with people I did my post-grad studying with so wanted to tell them. But I wouldn't have if we'd not had the scan at 10 weeks. As I'm in the city today I've also done a bit of maternity clothes shopping- ladies maternity departments are pretty much non existant! I managed to get a work dress and some jeans in the sale at Debenhams (Red herring), got another dress, some t-shirts and a reduced coat that I don't need from h&m and some maternity tights and bio oil from primark. Although my stomach looks huge (and maternity clothes emphasise that!) my trousers are all pretty much OK, but I tend to prefer things on my hip anyway so maybe that's why? I tried on some over bump jeans and they were so comfy! But didn't buy as I need a short leg, but will get online. I was thinking of also trying ebay. Only buying now as I know I won't want to nearer Christmas.
SIL lent me some very thick books on pregnancy. They look terrifying. OH thinks they are funny as they have pictures of boobs0 -

Yup, sounds about right :rotfl:
Good maternity wear haul! I haven't started looking yet, but definitely feeling the need to get some new trousers and bras. Please me know if you find any good petite length jeans!
I'm excited to get to the end of the first trimester and eat better and be able to exercise a bit more. I did my first PT session in quite a few weeks at the weekend and I felt so good afterwards - my trainer has done pre- and post-partum training and I completely trust him, so it's reassuring to know that I can still work hard and safely. I need to counter some of the weight gain - I've been eating through my nausea and it needs to stop!
We're going to Finland on Friday, which we booked ages ago and I've got to avoid the saunas, horse riding, husky sledging etc but I'm more worried about the food - not sure pickled fish and reindeer is going to do it for me at the moment! I might smuggle some peanut butter and noodles into our iglooLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -

Snow glad to hear the sickness is starting to get better. I've the same problem with jeans, I tend to use a bobble to loop the button :rotfl: I want to look at some dresses but I tend to wear jeans and trainers to work so don't want eyebrows to be raised when I walk in wearing a dress and boots.
Ah penguin, I did remember you saying yours was around the same time as mine. It's so exciting. Fingers crossed it all goes wellAnother one needing a short leg, I find it so hard to find short legs as it is, never mind trying to find maternity short leg trousers.
Poodle I hope you enjoy Finland, and you find something you can eat.
Cats I wasn't looking at Asos, so it's nice to see it being recommended. Will definitely have a look in the next week or so.0
