Poodle 2 weeks just seems so far away. TBF when I originally got my scan through I think it was just under 4 weeks away, so it is coming around but not quick enough. I think the OH is starting to feel impatient too.

Ratison I wouldn't worry too much about sickness, I've experienced very little in comparison to others, plagued more by nausea than anything else.

My scan is now only a week away! I'm so excited to see it again. Feels ages since our little sneak peak, and hopefully this one will be less stressful.

Hope everyone's symptoms improve. I definitely found I 'managed' mine before they went, but now I have hardly any. Still want loads of cheese though and having read this I might have to crack out the marmite too!

Thanks :) I'm feeling a touch better today. Learning to manage it a little better - as most of you smaller meals are the way to go. Snow hope the change in avoiding acidic foods works.

April, poodle and penguin I hope the time goes quickly for your scans.
Ratison when have you booked your scan for?
I'm hoping we get ours before Christmas (should do) otherwise will pay for a scan as want to tell family and friends before Christmas!

Penguin I hope it comes around quick for you.

Fingers crossed you get one in time for Christmas New, a nice little surprise present for people :)

Has anyone noticed their hormones playing havoc with their skin? I seem to have reverted back to my teenage self with the amount of acne I've been getting. Not something I'd have expected to be dealing with again :rotfl:

Yes, my skin flared up about 3 weeks ago, has calmed down again now. I thought I was meant to be looking radiant! Was chatting to a friend who's just about to go on mat leave and we were comparing symptoms, she said her skin went bad about 6 weeks.

My skin is awful too. Loads of spots on my chin, and a few popping up around my eyebrows.

Newthrift my scan is booked for 8 weeks. I'll probably have it before I see the midwife! I want to be able to tell some people ahead of Christmas parties, in the hope that they can cover for me when I don't drink.

My boss knows already, because a risk assessment has to be done at work pretty early on. She's really supportive though.

My skin has never been prefect but it did flare up again, all being well it does seem to be settling again.
It sounded like the midwife was going to squeeze us in as I've not had an early scan and had two MC's this year so will be a nice reassurance too hopefully.

Ratison yes extra help on covering for not drinking is good! DH has picked my glass up and swopped for his empty one before now and no one noticed.

I'm not sure if my belly is already beginning to pop (I'm not 'big' I'm a 12/14 and 5ft9 but I've never had great stomach muscles haha). Until last night I had been fine part lying on my tummy but it seems to be a no go now and had a bit more cramping. Brought two new bras yesterday without any underwire as normal bra was just starting to dig in a little.

  • Congrats Roz!
I officially look like a spotty teenager again, week 8 now and having throwbacks to being 14 years old skin wise, spots everywhere. Nausea has really been problematic the last few days, hoping it eases off soon, retching like something out of monsters of the deep is not a good look :rotfl:
    Baby due 21/06/2017 :)
  • Hello everyone!
After a brief moment of feeling better the nausea and sickness are still here with a vengeance. Woke at 2:30am to be sick, all water though the retching is really draining. The tube journeys to work have been bad, I keep sucking polo mints but I just feel terrible by the time I get to work/home.
12 weeks today and my scan on Wednesday. Have been neglecting all the house work and feel quite bad.
Has everyone applied for their prescription exemption card? Midwife told me to see the GP but I haven't got round to going back there yet, might pop in there after my scan as then they have proof I'm pregnant!!
