Tinks hope you get to see something and can go away with some reassurance. Maybe we will both get lucky and see our beans!

Morning all! how is everyone today?

how exciting for you guys having scans! OH keeps on about a private scan but I thought it may have been too early to hear a heartbeat but after reading what you guys have put I might see if we can book one - are they expensive?

I had a terrible night sleep last night - couldnt get comfy and when I did finally get comfy and start to drift off I needed to get up for a wee! seem to have a constant feeling of nausea but not actually being sick (thankfully as I hate being sick) Im also constantly tired - oh the joys of being 6 weeks pregnant!

newcook my scan is NHS but I think the private ones are around £50-100 depending on where you go - sure Tinks can advise. I am considering another one if all is well next week at around 9 weeks for further reassurance. It's not guaranteed you will see a hb this early though, seems to be hit and miss from what I've read.

I am not sleeping too well either - so bloated and uncomfortable! Feeling sick again this morning but embracing it all as part of the experience. Would love a couple of days off work though to just relax.

Morning ladies. I had a private scan last weekend for reassurance after losing previously. It was amazing. Baby measured a couple of days ahead of where I thought but I could clearly make out the shape and we saw and heard the heartbeat! The scan cost £45 which I thought was pretty good.

It's a waiting game now for my 12 weeks scan and a consultant appointment (the midwife decided I needed to be under a consultant initially). Around 3 weeks to go! I hope everyone has a good day.

    OMG, Dildocam made me

I'm 6+1 today. Had a dizzy and near fainting episode today. It was awful. Had low pelvic pain and back ache most of the morning. Went to toilet just before lunch (nothing out of ordinary happened). Then I went back to my seat and just came over all funny. The room was spinning as if I was about to faint. Felt really weak. No-one at work knows except the girl I share with (day off) and another who is in another building but I called for support. I sat for about five minutes and then headed outside for fresh air, bought some crisps and water en route and sat down outside. Fell better in minutes. My friend met me and thinks it was down to not eating enough, I thought I was doing okay but she thinks I need more but also think the heat today didn't help.

Feel fine now but got feet up and chilling out regardless. Early night on the cards too.

it is a good thing.. it means your blood pressure is low and that is good.. and normal..

MrsSave that's wonderful about your early scan, that must have been amazing :o)

Can I ask a tmi question please? Has everyone been BDing since they found out? I've put OH on a ban until we know where we are up to (ridiculous I know). I feel quite bad about it but I just feel so strongly that I need to get through these next few weeks first.

Hi all! Hope you're all keeping well!

I'm the same as you newcook...lots of nausea but no actual sickness (can only be a good thing!) It has been keeping me awake a bit in the evenings so I'm really, really tired but still preferable to actually being sick.

I still haven't booked in for my early scan but hearing everyone chatting about has spurred me on and I'm going to phone at lunch. The place we're going to use is £39 which I thought was good and you get a cd with some photos on...although not sure what you'll really see at 9 weeks!

Mancmama we haven't done any BDing....OH is too scared! haha! I think once we have some reassurance all is well we'll hopefully go back to normal. Although I have to be honest and say I've really not felt like it with all the nausea and tiredness, I'd be like a sack of spuds!

me and OH have BD'd a few times now - the first time we were both very wary/nervous and I dont think either of us enjoyed it as much as normal but we've since relaxed a lot more about it as Ive read that orgasms increase the blood flow to the womb and encourage a nice fat healthy placenta!

newcook - that's a good excuse to get some BDing done!! My boobs are agony though, not sure I could deal with hubby touching them at the mo!!

So that's us all booked in for the early scan at the end of May. I'll be just over 9 weeks by then so hopefully be able to see something! It's also a couple of days after we get back from hols so will hopefully put my mind at ease that everything is fine after flying etc!

Thanks Pigpen. I am feeling happier when symptoms do appear as it means things are progressing normally. I've been okay since I started eating like Miss Piggy though

MancMama - We have only BD'd twice since the news but mainly due to OH being away alot. First time I felt really weird afterwards, felt dizzy and faint and just not good. It made OH feel terrible. I think it was just getting my head around things being different now (sounds silly). Felt better second time but still odd and hoping I feel better about it soon. It's all in my mind and it's not like any symptoms are stopping me.

A close friend banned relations with her current pregnancy until after 12 weeks as they'd BD'd just before her last pregnancy ended in MC. Really hard to disassociate things like that I guess but it's totally safe.
