I've 5 weeks to go and can still easily put shoes and socks on. As pigpen says, shaving bits you cannot see is impossible. So unless DH becomes a willing volunteer, those areas won't be touched!

MancMama I was just coming on here to say I am feeling queasy today too. After over a week of no symptoms. It's already been commented on in work as I love my food and if I've not eaten my lunch by 12.30 there's usually something wrong...but I can't even think about it!

Still not planning to tell anyone just yet though...maybe at the end of this month I'll say to my mum. I want to tell her but I just know she won't be able to keep it to herself (first grandchild!)

I gave up on that area a while back. Good thing is, I can't see it, so have no idea how bad it is! Haha

I can still do socks and shoes at 34 weeks. Only had trouble the day my thigh was hurting. I can only shave my legs in the shower now though, not the bath.

My IBS is better today, thank goodness. No other symptoms for now.

I have been worried about the shaving issue. Might have to get myself a wax at a salon as the idea of birth in a forrest ;) makes me cringe :o:o:rotfl:

I will definitely be getting a wax before my due date. If there's going to be people looking at it for hours I want it to be neat!!

pmsl... they don't sit there looking at it waiting for a baby to erupt.. they may check 2-3 times how dilated you are but won't look they just rummage... but they don't even do that every time.. My daughter had no internal checks at all she just laboured away quite merrily until pushing and the only person who really looked was me... and I got pictures!

I've not had any internal checks since my 4th.. I did refuse a couple of times, but they weren't deemed necessary just exploratory.. I'm not a jungle, I do not need exploring!

  • Hi

Can I join in...? Currently, 7w 1d with Baby No. 2 (DD is 6). Conceived first cycle of coming off the pill so was a bit of a shock, but we're both highly delighted all the same. All booked for booking appointment at 10w and scan booked for 12w... just seems like a lifetime away, even though it's only 3 and 5 weeks away from now!

Not told anyone yet, getting the scan under our belt (and the 12w point) before we tell anyone. We had our scan at 8w 5d with our first and told all at that point. Now I am actually just enjoying keeping things to ourselves before everyone goes weird on us.

Really nervous as we've got a family function before our scan and I am worried that they'll twig when I say I'm not drinking. My scan is literally days after this, and we want to keep it under wraps until we've had that. I think a water infection will be making an appearance just before then with some timely "antibiotics" thrown into the equation. Just hope I can pull off the best acting yet...!

    Welcome and congrats pinkmagpie!

As I predicted I had a terrible nights sleep. :(

I fell asleep on the sofa just after 8 (was exhausted after being our all day visiting a friend). Managed to drag myself to bed about 9. Then spent the rest of the night waking up needing a wee/waking up from a weird dream then trying to get back to sleep for what felt like ages!

Just over a hour til we leave for the scan. Still slightly nervous but also excited. Am glad it's this morning and I don't have to wait all day!
