Wow a lot happening since I last logged in!
Welcome to everyone that has joined.
Pink petal I was told by the midwife I could have paracetamol but not ibuprofen. Trying not to take anything though.
We haven't told anyone we know yet. Though at least 3 of my friends know. The one from the hen do, then at the wedding this weekend one of my close friends who has been abroad for a while noticed straight away that I wasn't drinking. The bride also noticed. They knew we were going to start trying this year so hard to hide it/lie. I just said we're not saying anything yet.
We have our scan on Friday. It seems so close yet so far away.
We have to pay for the scan pictures so DH has been saving his pound coins so we have enough change. When he'd collected enough he said we have enough for the babies now :rotfl: (I've been winding him up saying we're having triplets)
If all is well we will tell our parents and families. I'll let my friends know but nothing will go on Facebook till work know, which may be a little while yet....if I can hide it!0 -
Well I managed to get through the evening without telling my friend. Nearly blurted it out once when we were discussing if she'd have another one (she has a four year old) but I stopped myself and I'm glad I did. She's my best mate of 20odd years but I still just feel it's too soon. I don't want to be pessimistic but you just never know.
If I'm going to tell anyone it'll be my mum but might wait a couple more weeks! My dad is going through treatment for cancer so I feel like it would give the family some nice news for a change!0 -
Aww PP hopefully you will have some lovely news for your family in the next few weeks - sending your Dad all the bestMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0

Thank you MancMama!
Well, docs appointment done. It was fairly quick, there's not much she could do for me other than give me the Emma's Diary book and the phone number for the midwife! I've also got to make a choice about which hospital I want to go to (choice of two) so I need to look into that!
I got to ask my questions about medication etc and she was really helpful and the jist of it is I can take paracetomol only for the first 12 weeks...nothing else as this is when most of the development takes place. I should be able to struggle on with pilates for the next 6 weeks hopefully. She also mentioned that there's specialist physios attached to the maternity unit and the midwife can organise for me to see them when I start getting bigger. So that put my mind at rest!
Back at work now so don't know when I'll get a chance to phone the midwife. The doc says it can be difficult to get through so I can't just pop away from my desk to make a quick call!0 -
Yes definitely get the call in - this time I was really shocked they answered as last time I left a voicemail and it took a couple of days to get back to me. They were very nice both times.
Good to get the ball rolling and that sounds good about the physio down the line.MancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -
What did I say about no symptoms?
My IBS is playing up today, in agony and cannot take any of my usual meds
This prompted me to blurt out my news to my boss, which I didn't want to do but she had popped in and this isn't a regular occurrence (works off-site) and so I thought I may as well, especially if I may end up with some sick leave if this IBS pain continues.0 -
Hope you're feeling better soon Rachy!
I'm feeling a bit rubbish today. Was woken every two hours during the night by really severe period-type cramps, never known anything like it before in my life. Still feeling sore today but nowhere near as bad as it was overnight. Off food at the minute too, having to force myself to eat and can't face meat at all!
We've booked a private scan for the weekend after next, just for a bit of reassurance before we go away to get married. I'm hoping it will make it all seem a bit more real!0 -
Hope you feel better soon Rachy, like you say at least your boss will know why if you need to take some time - look after yourself.
Tinks I forgot you were getting married soon as well! Wow what a wonderful and exciting time for you. Make sure you fit some rest in too! Hope you feel well again soon xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -

When I feel really tired I have an instant coffee... guidelines state you can have 2 cups of regular tea or instant coffee, or 1 cup of filter coffee, or 5 cans of diet coke. I try not to have it every day but some days are a struggle!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
