Mrs_Rachel the main thing is you saw your lovely baby and you get another chance in a couple of weeks. Whether you are 11 or 13 weeks makes very little difference at the end as I've known people to suddenly give birth at 35 weeks and others that have to be induced with one holding out until 43 weeks! So feel free to stay here a couple more weeks.
Thanks Kynthia, I think it's just that I want to be over the 'danger' period if that makes sense. I thought that I was 12 weeks and therefore 'safe' but obviously not. Don't get me wrong it was fantastic seeing our little baby wriggling about and waving an arm, and we are really looking forward to seeing it again.House purchased November 2013

Hope everyone is doing well!
Has anyone had any advice on flying? We have a holiday booked at the end of May and I had in my head that flying was fine until the third trimester but I made the mistake of googling it and there's so many mixed opinions, including some saying not to fly before 12 weeks due to increased risk of MC. I'm now absolutely terrified. I'm at the docs this week so I'll speak to her about it but just wondered if anyone has already had advice on this?0 -
Hi pink petal,
The information regarding flying left me confused too. The doctor and midwife told me that it was OK to fly at less than 12 weeks ( I flew to Italy at 9 week although I thought I was at just over 10 weeks). I am also flying to the Maldives in 3 weeks time. I was told on short haul to make sure that I rotate my ankles/move feet/legs regularly and on the long haul flight to try and get up and walk around the plane regularly and wear flight socks. But apart from that everything should be OK. Hope that helps?House purchased November 2013

PinkPetal - Flying is totally fine. My friend was flying when only a few weeks gone last year and I asked my FIL who is a GP and he said it was fine and it's only the last trimester you can't fly - obviously in case you give birth on the plane or in the country you go with no insurance etc.
I'm also going away end of May and will only be 8 weeks. Luckily FIL will be with me and other family NHS workers so I'll feel well supported if I am worried about anything
Enjoy your holidays girls :j0 -
Thanks ladies! You've both reassured me no end! Now I just have to worry about all the cava I won't be able to drink in Spain!
Hope you both enjoy your hols too, Rachel you are so lucky going to the Maldives, we were there for our honeymoon a couple of years ago and it was absolute paradise!0 -
I flew on internal flights at around 8 weeks pregnant. It was no different to normal and absolutely fine. I was concerned about feeling sick but it didn't seem to make any difference for me. I would definitely take some mints with you to settle your tummy, just in case though and water if it's cheaper to buy in departures than on board.0

Hi, I'd like to join please. I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I had a miscarriage at the start of the year so have been very nervous. I already have a 2 1\2 year old. I have passed the point where I lost last time, and am having a scan at the end of the week for my reassurance. I've also got my booking appointment this week so it is starting to feel real!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500

Freddie I was hoping to hear from you, I've been lurking and watching how you've been getting on and so glad it's all going well. Thank you for the message.
Welcome Mrs Save and hope your scan is wonderful for you X
As for me, I feel extremely tired but not too bad really. It's slowly sinking in that we are here again, and it was nice to tell family and close friends so we have a support network in place this time around.
I'm trying to cut caffeine completely, any ideas on some fun drinks I can try to keep things interesting?!MancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -
Welcome MrsSave I hope your scan goes well.
I had a scan on Sunday which showed a heartbeat, which was lovely to hear and see. They said I measured at 9 weeks which was is exactly what I thought I was based on ovulation rather than LMP. So my new EDD is 4th December. She said the baby was moving loads which is really unusual at 9 weeks, and made her laugh. I think it was nice for my OH to see as at the moment he only has me describing how I feel without any evidence of the baby he can see or feel himself.
I can't wait for this exhaustion to end. I have a feeling that te nausea will last longer as it did with my daughter.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
